Brandon Jackson >> Antonio Pittman (1 Viewer)

LHUCKS

Footballguy
Pittman got all of of the press from the media hacks over at ESPN as they were erroneously tooting the Turtle10's horn all year, but Jackson is twice the runner that Pittman is and has the prototype frame for an NFL RB.

You heard it here first, Jackson will have twice the NFL career that A. Pittman will have even though most of you don't realize it.

You've been notified.

I can be sold on Jackson well as anyone after the first two guys. Think I Kiper likes him quite a bit if my memory is working.

I think Jackson is a guy who was not expected to declare so is under the radar. I'm trying to get some more info on him.

Jackson should be in everyone's top 5 right now. I have him as my number 3 RB... I did not here it from LHUCKS first though just so I can make myself feel better.

:goodposting: I'm keeping an open mind when it comes to this group of RBs. No one has solidified himself as the RB3 in my mind. But the last time I remember LHUCKS saying "x will have twice the career of z" was in reference to Mark Bradley (x) and Bernard Berrian (z). :bag:

Why x and z? What happened to y?

He ran away with Who, When, and How.

I did see Jackson have a quality game this year, and don't recall him playing poorly in the other couple of times I saw Nebraska. The rotation they used may have influenced this feeling, but he did not jump out at me as ultra-talented or ready for the NFL. This is one guy I will watch and see what the NFL thinks more than trusting what I saw over a handful of game.

By rule, sometimes you drop the y...much like Muhammad drops the ball.

:( Shhh on Brandon Jackson though

I'm thinking this thread should really be titled "look who I just took in WSL1"....

the good news is at the current pace, LHUCKS won't be picking again until after the Super Bowl.

What about Marlon Lucky who is listed #1 on NEB depth chart?????
Marlon was the opening day starter. Jackson took over around game 5 and generally outplayed him.
That's putting it politely.
To be fair, Marlon didn't have many opportunities after week 5. He had rushed for 79, 103, 27 (10 carries against USC), 156, and 40 (13 carries against Kansas) and was averging well over 5 YPC when he was knicked and used sparingly against ISU. Jackson emerged in part due to Lucky and Glenn missing time and reps. Lucky still finished the season at 5.2 YPC and had over 1,000 combined rushing/receiving yards. Jackson outworked Lucky, was the tougher runner and deserved to be the starter. It wasn't exactly a landslide on the field though.I'm on record about BJax's potential though, and I concur with your assessment.

Jackson, Brandon-5112--210--xx--4.57Pittman, Antonio-5110--195--xx--4.42
I'm just saying...
Do you want a 3rd down back or do you want a potential workhorse?Jackson's 40 time was expected to be in the 4.5's...Pittman's was expected to be in the 4.4's...I don't see this changing much personally.

NFL | B. Jackson does some work at his Pro DayWed, 7 Mar 2007 23:09:16 -0800Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Nebraska RB Brandon Jackson measured a height of 5-9 7/8 and a weight of 206 pounds at his Pro Day March 7. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds and 4.42 seconds.
Quite an improvement over his combine time. Fast track maybe? PS: He shrunk a bit as well :lmao:

Your hate for the Big 10 is beginning to effect your credibility. Not sure what it is you've got against the Big 10 and Ohio State but I'm beginning to think it's clouding your judgement. Kinda makes me wonder where your true agenda is.

So you think Pittman will have a bettern NFL career than Jackson?

Is his bias against Big 10 guys affecting the accuracy of his predictions? If not, then I'd say there's nothing wrong with it.**I don't know, I'm new here so haven't seen what you've seen**

 , I like to rip on the Big10 but my projections and rankings are completely objective...most people around here know that.

The 40 time discrepancy is explainable, however how does a guy shrink almost 2 inches? That's simply impossible.
More like 1 1/3 inches. Did they do the measurments at the combine with shoes? As anyone who follows basketball can tell you, the swing between measurments in socks vs. shoes is anywhere from 1 1/4 to 2 inches depending on what they are wearing.

Oops.... I read 5112 as 5'11.5"I remember the combine measurements being barefoot, but it looks like youtube pulled whatever footage for confirmation

What are you talking about? There isn't one person that follows Nebraska football that would agree with your statement...."putting it politely". Would you care to define your comment form the original post? What does twice the career mean exactly? You didn't exactly back it up with anything specific. It's more of a jab than anything else. So far you've made a proclamation that can not be defined in a measurable sense. As for why I posted what I did, your comments sound like anomosity towards the attention the Big 10 was getting from ESPN. You refer to them as "Turtle 10", you call ESPN hacks and your sig seems to support your hate of OSU. Your hate isn't very well disguised. You've been yapping about how much better the PAC 10 is then the BIG 10 for a long time now. Then you expect to be believed that your opinions are objective after a post like this. Maybe some feel they are but I'm not buying it.

Your sig says it all, FM. The guy likes to spout shinfo.

Wow. Good info here considering that Mel Kiper has Jackson as #3 Rb and Pittman #5. Thanks for this breaking news. Does anybody take this clown seriously?

I don't respond to posts with negative tones that use words like "yapping"...go fishing somewhere else.
