Marshall limps off the Broncos practice field

Brandon Marshall limped off the practice field at Broncos training camp Sunday, and appeared to be favoring his surgically repaired hip.

Marshall has barely practiced since reporting to camp. Coach Josh McDaniels repeatedly insisted that it wasn't because Marshall had a setback, but this news makes us skeptical. His surgeon, Dr. Marc Philippon, said at the time of the operation that Marshall wouldn't be 100 percent for 6-12 months, and September 30 would've been the optimistic end of that projection. It's natural to wonder if the Broncos are pushing Marshall too hard too soon. Aug. 2 - 12:50 pm et

Hamstring injury sidelines Brandon Marshall

The Associated Press is calling the ailment that knocked Brandon Marshall out of Sunday's training camp practice an "apparent" hamstring injury.

Continuing his attempt to live up to mentor Bill Belichick, coach Josh McDaniels provided no details. Marshall appears to have avoided a setback with his surgically repaired hip, but limped noticeably off the field Sunday. While Marshall has impressed on the days he's practiced, he needs to get back on the field to learn McDaniels' system after missing most of the spring. Aug. 2 - 4:32 pm et

Can even the most ardent Broncos fans not think this season has train wreck written all over it?
 That team is a MESS!!!
And this is coming from a Raiders fan :lmao: This Lions fan thinks the Broncos are a mess too. Let's see Charlie Weis has run the ND program into the ground, Romeo was fired, and Mangini was fired. McDaniels looks to already be on the same path - a former Belichick assistant that can't cut it as a head coach. McDaniels starts off his tenure by pissing off his QB so the team trades him. Marshall is hurt, is complaining about his contract status, and wants to be traded. The defensive front 7 is the worst in the NFL. Gonna be real ugly this year.....

Every year there's some guy around here that swears everyone he drafts gets injured. Well apparently this is my year, watch out dallas clark!

A few quick thoughts.

1. Anyone that selects a Denver Bronco will have to endure the type of no info clause that McDaniel will undoubtedly bring over form the Pats regime of thinking and press release info. You'll never know who is really suffering from what and the NFL should step in and make it mandatory for teams to be honest and upfront about injuries.

2. We are barely a week into camp and many are just under way this past weekend...already we have twists, strains, sprains...gonna be a long preseason. Try not to over react to the 1st bit of info. I find in an honest effort to keep everyone up to date that sometimes the first release of info can be frightening. "Marino hobbles off with a knee injury"...could be an ACL, could be a guy that just want to end practice early...just try and not rush to judgement everytime a player scratches a nail. For such a brutal sport we treat the players like classic cars locked up in daddy's garage.

3. Relax, Marshall was way overratd to begin with. Contract issues, kissing the owner good bye, now entrenched in training camp...the Broncos are a train wreck right now so steer clear and let someone else enjoy this mess.
