So the season is right around the corner, what do you guys think?

Is he this years Chad Johnson? (QB gone, trade demands, won't practice, won't study his playbook).

Or will things take a dramatic turn for the good soon and skyrocket his value back to where it should be?

Let's hear it!

high risk, high reward. obv. im still willing to risk a mid pick on him as my first backup wr. if he plays, either for denver or whoever he gets traded to, he will be unreal value.

If he gets traded it may increase his value depending on where he goes. The biggest negative is Orton and McDaniels--if he gets out of Denver his value will sky rocket. Therefore, I see him as a buy low because his value will only go up.

I think Marshall is a top 20 wideout with upside in A keeper or dynasty league. In re-draft, I would stay far away. It looks like a stand-off with a player and an organization that both make poor decisions and act stubbornly at every turn. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Denver refused to play or trade him and Marshall refused to play or learn the plays.

IMO he will be wearing a Bears uniform next year and his value will skyrocket. He will be overhyped and over valued next year just from changing teams.

I traded lance moore and leon washington for him but only reason i traded l moore was i already have marques colston

My only concern is if the team decides to suspend him. I also question his football shape at the moment which might lead to an injury. I think in less than 2 weeks his value will either skyrocket or plummet. This could be a small window to jump on Marshall, or to get rid of him, depending on which side you are on.

:goodposting:  .... except for the "where he might get traded to part", which is pure subjective conjecture. There are quite a few teams that would take a gamble on Marshall. Problem is, Denver will want too much, so for this year, he' could be garbage heap material.

I recently got offered Marshall in a keeper league where you can keep 6 players and only 1 of those 6 can be a player you traded for. You give up the round the player was drafted in to keep him whether you drafted him or traded for him.

Players I Get:

Brandon Marshall (Round 5)

Leon Washington ( Round 9)

Players I Give:

Patrick Willis (Round 8)

Donnie Avery (Round 14)

Avery is obviously a steal at 14 which is why I'm hesistant to pull this trade off. Also I took Kevin Smith in the 5th and Donald Brown in the 9th so it's possible I won't keep neither Marshall nor Washington depending how Smith and Brown play. What you guys think? This is for my 12 Team in my sig below.

I've already seen a trade offered (not to me) of Marshall + MJD for ADP. It seems like his value is lowest in "more competitive" leagues for whatever that's worth.

I have him in my dynasty league.

I'm HOLDING!

He has way too much talent not to get it together eventually.

I traded him away several weeks ago (right before the downward spiral of events). Got Bowe, Holmes & Ronnie Brown for him, Fred Jackson and Santana Moss.

I would not take him back. Too many off field issues and changes in Denver for me to consider him a Stud WR. New HC, new OC, new QB and several new RB's all wanting the ball resulting fewer passing opportunities.

(FWIW, I traded Bowe for R Moss & M Bush)

Last I checked McDaniels is great for the offence. In looking at the couple of preseason games McD is not the problem. I know most people on this board are big McD haters, but I think he will suprise ya this year.

I couldn't agree with this less. He would be an absolute monster in that offense. Do you really see his value increasing if he gets traded to Baltimore?

I think he'll be fine in dynasty, just not sure about redraft. Bought him "low" this weekend in a dynasty.

I gave: Andre Johnson, Anthony Gonzalez and Donald Driver.

I got: Marshall, Braylon Edwards and Roy Williams.

if he falls far enough in redraft then I would consider taking him but I am not going out of my way to have him on my roster. Would much rather spend a comparable pick on Royal then deal with the soap opera that is Marshall.

No matter how much talent he has he is making it clear he doesn't know the playbook, with it being McDaniels first year and him trying to establish his way of doing things, to me it spells Marshall being made an example of. Just my $0.02

Not everybody will think you bought low... most won't think so at all.

I think Marshall is awesome but I'd much rather have kept AJ and Gonzalez.

i dont understand why the broncos will ask for a lot. hes a free agent next year and is gonna walk for sure. might as well take what they can get for him.

Honestly biggest concern should be if he plays this year. I think this week's practice will be a huge sign of what's to come for Marshall's future.

For Dynasty he's definately a HOLD ... for Redraft he's a bust this season no matter if he stays in Denver or is traded .... very, very few WR switch teams this late in the preseason and have much success where they land ... I wouldn't touch him in a redraft.

I had the feeling, early on, that Marshall might even hold out. I think what he is doing is probably more destructive. He is coming in, but only playing at half speed. He is dragging his feet, not learning the playbook, and just being a disruption. The more he behaves like a tool, the less trade value he has. It would be so much better for the team if he just held out waiting for a new contract. Then the lines would be clearly drawn.

I'd say I would consider Marshall in the sixth or seventh round, if he were to drop that far. But I have major reservations about his productivity this year. I really wonder if he can be effective this year if he is traded. He's still rehabbing his hip. He is not really in football shape. If he goes to another team he has to learn a new playbook, and a new offense. He will have missed training camp. I think, that as we get closer to the season, the further he will have to drop for me to be interested.

Buy low. Any 100+ reception WR taken later than the 4th round is a STEAL. He is dropping to the 4th in a lot of drafts. Why not? Worst case is Denver trades him. If he's healthy he'll be on the field for someone.
