How so? I thought I read that he didnt want to break Drysdales record because he respected him so much. That wouldnt taint the record though.

I think there was a questionable call of an error during one of the final few innings. It may have been against the Giants.A run scored and it went as unearned as a result.

Peavy still has a better record, much lower ERA and a lower WHIP. Peavy is still the front runner. And that is possibly only because Chris Young got hurt.

I remember it going higher actually. He continued it into the playoffs, which was not counted toward the record. Right?
