Edwards should start due to injuries to the other WRs. Joe is downgraded to doubtful. Northcutt is hurt from practice and is questionable. And, Cribbs was excused from practice on Thurs and is questionable. The only other option for Romeo would be to start Travis Wilson. Dorsey starting makes most Cleve offensive players downgraded.
I'd think long and hard before starting him this week. Dorsey could be the QB and the team is so banged up Randy bought everyone "first alert" badges for when they've "fallen and they can't get up!"
I was with my in-laws, several of which are big Browns fans. They are really down on Edwards. They think he is a great talent but is a head case with a big mouth and suspect hands.
I posted this thread a month ago and I think his issues clearly have had an impact. He probably killed quite a few fantasy owners last week by being benched and going forward, he has to shut up, get his act together and become less of a dog then he's shown this season. He has big-time talent, but he appears to be a cancer and that's something that needs to be fixed if he's going to become the top-level WR his talent suggests he should be.
As far as this week, he'll be looking better if he starts since Frye is expected to start. So that helps him. But how long can Frye stay on the field and how much faith does Romeo have in Edwards? We've seen Edwards get frozen out of the offense before; I could see it happening again. He has plenty of potential given the matchup if Frye can play the whole game. But if it were me, I'd exhaust every possible alternative before I'd trust my fantasy season on him in my lineup. But that's me.
