Braylon on the block? (1 Viewer)

hes on the Block in most of my Leagues...

In the NFL, all GMs list to offers. Especially when new management comes in. LT been on the Trading block for the past 3 off-seasons.

But NYG would be a good home... and Philly should also jump on this, McNabb throws the ball to hard for BEs stone hands.

I see some comments on there that say Kiwi and picks for Edwards

Am I the only one who thinks Edwards isn't worth that much?

PFT is reporting rumors that Braylon could be on the block. A few of the comments suggest he could be going to NYG for Kiwanuka.
I could actually see something like this, since they have Tuck and Osi on the ends. They would need to figure out what to do with Kiwanuka, and this would make that decision for them...
You gotta be kidding. It's tough enough to catch the Eli passes that are within reach. Pair that with a guy that can't catch? Get outta here.

Two negatives = a positive?

I'll play...

Braylon + Anderson ==> DEN

Marshall + Cutler ==> CLE

I'm just messing. No chance this happens.

With the loss of Osi and Strahan last year the Giants saw their D-line and pass rush wear down as the year progressed, the key to their defensive success. They have spent the FA period making good depth a strength. The Giants 2nd string D-line could be starters on most teams. I don't see them going and trading away the depth they just acquired.Having said that I'd love to see Edwards in New York for a 2nd round pick but I don't see that happening.Having said that I don't see the Browns trading away their only two offensive weapons in one off-season.Having said that, Mangini or not, the Browns are still the Browns so anything is possible.

Only if you are playing against Manning/Edwards.

I wouldn't mind seeing a trade for Edwards (maybe what the Giants gave up for Shockey)But there is no way they should trade Kiwi AND something for EdwardsSeems like DE's are more valueble than WR's.

Edwards is not worth Kiwi let alone Kiwi + a pick. Edwards for a 2nd rounder is interesting.

Edwards has crappy hands. I really wouldn't want him on my team.

add the swirling winds at the meadowlands and you've just created the perfect storm for Edwards.

So would Edwards' "crappy" hands bother you all if he was Edwards of 2007? Alot of drops, but tons of goodness.

I heard the same Kiwi/2nd rnd pick for Edwards on Sirius NFLRadio yesterday. I like this trade. Braylon has one year left on his deal and is already complaining about Cleveland not liking him. Add to that his time spent during the last off-season looking for endorsements and visiting movie producers, I would gladly trade him and ship him elsewhere.

To make that happen, I think the Browns would have to sign a WR like Coles/Galloway and draft a good WR in April. They have Stallworth and JoeJ still on the team, plus young guys in Steptoe and Hubbard.

The Browns need to strengthen their pass rush, so why not do the trade? (Speaking from the Browns side that is...if I were on the NYG side, I wouldn't touch Braylon with a 10 ft pole :lmao: )

Expecting Vicius to play a down in the league ever again is not reasonable at this time. Dude's had a half dozen knee surgeries in the last 13 months.

From a Seahawks Blog:

The Seahawks may be nearing a trade for Braylon Edwards for our 2nd round pick and a 2010 2nd-day pick. Edwards is undoubtedly an excellent receiver, but he has been plagued with drops over the last two years (16 in his 2007 pro-bowl campaign and 12 last year).

Maybe it's just me, but Edwards doesn't seem like a good fit for the Seahawks' offense. If they want a decent, young receiver for a 2nd round pick, it seems to me they would be better off making a play for RFA Lance Moore.

The Giants may have kicked the tires on Braylon, but the rumor that is gaining steam is Kiwi and a pick/picks for Boldin.
I'm a big Boldin guy and think he's a great fit for the Giants, but I'm not a fan of trading Kiwi.

Edit to add: "Gaining steam" meaning message board fodder or are there actual sources in the know talking about this?

He could be reunited with Charlie Frye!

12 is being mighty kind....

I don't think there's a single person on the Browns that Mangini isn't considering trading right now.

Heck, I'd bet he'd trade Kokinis for a first rounder...

I believe the Kiwi rumors because Canty can play DE in addition to DT. These rumors are gaining steam after the Canty signing.

He had 16 drops last year, not 12.

You have a personal source? Not picking on you here, but anyone can start a rumor and with the internet it's damn easy to spread those rumors. If people "in the know" are talking then either they are just talking out of their asses like the rest of us or something is happening i.e. teams are discussing a possible trade.

So if this is a real source is it:

A. Something is actually happening i.e. teams are discussing a possible trade

B. This real source is just talking out of his ###

C. You're not sure

I'm not picking on you, but I'm trying to clarify for just because someone is/claims to be "in the know" doesn't mean that they aren't talking out of their asses. (talking about your source, not you.)

The Giants have inquired about the asking price for Boldin. Nothing will get done on that front until they know for sure about Plax. This does not rule out drafting one of the big WR's in the 1st or 2nd, however.

... and the Cardinals responded "Kiwi and picks"?

I'm sure they didn't. Kiwi is being thrown about because of the Giants embarassment of riches on the D-line. Could be Cofield. Could be no one in particular. To my knowledge, the Giants inquired PRIOR to signing Bernard and Canty.

OK. I think I got it.I guy you know "in the know" knows that the Giants have previously asked about Boldin.

The "Kiwi and picks" part is unsubstantiated internet fodder build around Kiwi being jerked around for a couple of season moving back and forth from DE to LB and the new additions to the Giants DL has given the rumor legs on internet message boards but the whole Kiwi thing has no real source behind it.

Right?

Yuck. Seattle does NOT need another receiver with dropsies and with sideline primadonna baggage. Bad enough that Housh is apparently almost a Seahawk (I think he's a good WR but I have always disliked his demeanor. Basically he's a punk #####), but I definitely don't want Edwards anywhere near our sideline.
