Breaking Bad on AMC (1 Viewer)

Wouldn't it be cheaper if Mike or Lydia just killed those hazard pay/legacy money guys? They're under surveillance by law enforcement anyway so they're no longer useful. May as well kill them and save the money.
Lots of unnecessary risk and dmage to your rep as a big boss to go that route. It the kind of reckless thing Mike would avoid, but Lydia and Walt would jump head first into.
Yeah. Probably tough to find guys that will work for you if you make a habit of killing off all your former employees to avoid paying them.

No spoiler here, just wondering about what drives Walt to the "guns".

The last episode makes me think it is Mike.

I think Walt is going to try to do something stupid like try to "whack" Mike's guys who he is paying money too. Then along the way he's going to put himself on a huge hit list and have to move away.

Episode 8 ending with Walt coming back, taking out Mike and his operation and claiming the "throne".

Then 9-16 have to be about the inevitable Hank-Walt showdown.

Lydia had a list of 11 guys, right? 2 are dead and a bunch in prison. No one would bat an eye if a couple criminals got shanked. Especially if Lydia's putting the hit on them.I think Brock and Andrea will somehow end up dead.
Hank has the same list. He'd notice if they all dropped dead within a few months.

This. Plus they would all have to die within a matter of days, because once the remaining living ones got wind of their counterparts getting knocked off, someone's cutting a deal right quick and heading to witness protection.

are we still worried about spoilers in here after confirming that the Marie stuff shown in last week's preview gave away absolutely nothing?
Yes. I watched the preview last week, but not this week. Because
they showed the freaking lab in the preview. The whole time I was watching I knew they were going to be up and running already. No hiccups. Took away some suspense. Also, with the Marie thing. It wasn't about misdirecting us. It was so lae in the episode that I knew it had t be coming at the expense of other story lines, so it had me just waiting on it instead of watching the story grow more organically. Spoiler all you want. I'll just post and not read up for an extra week. Unless there is a way to ignore people in a specific thread only. Is that an option? Also, what's so hard about using the spoiler tags anyway? You guys are just being douches about it at this point. Bet you're the same bastards that never use their turn signal.

Yea, I am anti-preview guy on any show I watch.

It's not that it "spoils" anything (I think spoil is the word that got everyone tangled into the past conversation)

It's just that a preview will offer some sort of scene where it allows you to recognize and understand that something is going to be taking place or a character will be in a certain position.

I just prefer to not know that at all.

Something as simple as a preview showing Skinny Pete.

Not that it spoiled anything, but in my mind I know there is an upcoming scene where Skinny Pete is involved.

Just preference that is all.

it said it right in the show description on my tv guide - something about Walt reveals important information to Marie.I'm not here trying to spoil anything for anyone. I just think it's irrational to get upset over discussion of previews that air. If they thought those previews were going to spoil the show for viewers, they wouldn't air them, IMO.I don't go out of my way to watch previews, but I don't freak out if I happen to see one or if someone mentions them either. If someone is that worried about spoilers, this thread doesn't seem like a good place to spend much time in.I'm not posting spoilers so I don't have any need to use the tags. I'm defending people's rights to discuss material that has already aired in a thread here without using them. Also I hate people who don't use turn signals.

Noone's stopping you guys from starting your own spoiler free Breaking Bad thread...

What was the deal with the conversation at the end of the show between Jessie and Walt? Walt eluded to Victor flying too close to the sun.
Walt was threatening Jesse, no? He was pissed at Jesse for telling Mike he could take the "legacy money" out of his share.
I immediately thought he was talking about Mike, how Mike is like Victor and pushing his luck; my wife immediately thought he was "warning" Jesse, "he thought he could cook on his own". Watching it a second time, still wasn't clear to either of us.
If I didn't see the flash forward, I'd really be pulling for Mike and Jesse to take Walt out and run their own ####. That would take a huge set of brass ones by Gilligan but it would be awesome for shock value alone.

I don't read show descriptions for the same reason. I feel like if a contributor to the thread asks, that should be enough. It requires an extremely minimal amount of effort to tag it. That's why I compared it to using a turn signal. It is being courteous with no real effort involved whatsoever. Just a flick of the wrist. Like typing out a spoiler tag..

Don't enter a TV or movie thread if you don't want to read spoilers.
:goodposting:We're discussing the show here, right? And everything that goes along with that - real actual spoilers are always put in spoiler tags.Other than that, theories/speculation/discussing the previews should all be fair game. I don't see why this is a problem for some people. Don't open the thread.

I never watch the first half of the show. Often something happens in the beginning that kind of hints at what's going to happen later on, and it totally ruins it.

I'm not asking anyone to not discuss anything here, just that I understand not wanting to see any previews.Obviously if it bothered me that much I wouldn't be here.I think people were just trying to ask if people would at least just use a spoiler tag when discussing something that was to come in a following episode.I can see why people don't feel they need to, but I didn't think it was an inconvenient or unreasonable request out of courtesy.

purity has been his mantra and how he is cooking in houses filled with cockroach ####?

meh

The writers should have figured out how to have them cook on the moon from now on.

I never consider myself a nitpicker, but one observation/comment:The Fly episode. How does that jive with now cooking in bug invested houses?
Yeah, I brought that up earlier. I don't think it's a coincidence, and I think it's intended to show Walt's character changing over time. While he once was excessively fearful of all sorts of stuff, including potential contamination from a single fly, he's now acting pretty recklessly, including cooking in homes that he knows are infested.

I think Walt died in "Crawlspace". It's all Heisenberg now.

It did almost look like a coffin in a grave when the last scene panned out.

last scene with jesse and heisenberg and him saying "i think he flew too close to the sun and got his throat cut" was chilling and now you know how far he's gone mentally.

It happened in that episode when he told Jesse "It's all contaminated" just before he passed out.

Just watched all 4 seasons plus the first 3 of season 5 in the last 2 weeks. I almost missed this show thinking it was a comedy? Anyway, it is awesome, but there was a few times with Skylar that the show really was slow.

This really is the only way to watch a series. Wait a couple of season and then watch it nonstop without commercials.

The Shield was especially good like this because it was so straight-forward. Could knock out a season in two sittings easy. Had bloodshot eyes for two weeks trying to get to the Forrest Whitaker season. Shield is not top 5 but definetly top 10 and addictive.

Inconvenient or unreasonable? No. Unlikely? Yes. People are going to talk about the previews like they do movie trailers. Last 2-3 pages have been torture going over this again and again.

civilized people use spoiler tags that's why we have them here - since it has already been covered that previews are misleading anyways - why the need to discuss them at all? If you have a theory based on previews, spoiler that ##### up.

How is a theory a spoiler? Obie trailers need put in spoilers? Seriously, this is one of the lamest arguments or things requested on here. They are previews broadcast over the air directly after the show and viewed by millions of people. This isn't research or seeing a cut of the show before available to the public. It airs the same night as the show. Enough is enough.

So the stadium imploding in the new batman isn't a spoiler because it was in the preview? Knowing that was going to happen didn't let any steam out of the moment?
