Breaking Bad on AMC (7 Viewers)

Has anybody ever seen Dean Norris (Hank) in anything else? He seems perfectly suited to play a goofball.I can't picture him playing, say, a scholar. Interestingly, he actually graduated from Harvard. Class of '85.
He was in the original CSI this past season as Lawrence Fishburn's ex-wife's new husband. Small part.

The only thing I remember ever seeing him in was as a Marine Sergeant in an NCIS episode.
He played an assassin in "The Firm" and a cop in "Gattaca". Those are the only thing I've ever seen him in.

Was anyone here a fan of Malcolm in the Middle? Cranston was the best part of that show. He was hilarious. Never knew he was so good in a dramatic role.

Odenkirk but not Saul.I'd sit down and have a beer with Sepinwall. Beer for me, broken bottle to the neck for him.

I was watching the episode from two weeks back again. There was a great Saul line that everyone forgot to mention.Walt is sitting in his office as Saul is reciting all the damage he caused. "As the kids say, this was an epic fail." :lmao:

Hi, I am a first time watcher of Breaking Bad. In the run up to the current season, AMC reran the entire series which I DVRed. I watched the pilot today and noticed that the swears were edited out. Is this something that just happened in the repeats or were the shows always edited? Not sure I am going to enjoy them edited like this. Might need to get the DVDs. Sorry if the question has been asked, I did not want to read in case of spoilers.
There is a reason it airs after 10pm. Might have DVR'd reruns before that in which case they have to clean it up meaning if they play reruns at say 8pm, they have to edit. If they ran them at 10pm they wouldn't. Tune in a comedy central roast at 1:30am sometime, they take the gloves off after that, no edits.

Pretty sure all the reruns were very late at night. In reading online, it appears that all of these episodes were edited during the initial run anyway of the early seasons. I don't know what time the early seasons were shown on tv. The only way to see the unedited versions is to get the dvd's it appears.

Saw (a skinny) Dean Norris in Starship Troopers the other day, as a commanding officer.

As for the editing of the re-runs, I watched the first 2 seasons on DVD then watched them again with my wife after DVR'ing them during the AMC run-up and notcied in the first episode the DVD had topless, frontal nudity (the wife Jesse was with when the DEA busted the house his partner was cooking in) and they also removed the whole scene where Sklyar was watching her eBay auction while "manipulating" Walt on his birthday. Not sure if either of those scenes were originally in the first-run in some form.

I DVR'd all of those as well and noticed that. To be honest, there wasn't a whole lot of editing to be done on all of the seasons, maybe a handful of episodes. I haven't noticed any editing on any of the new season.

Maybe you're that Eisenhower guy Hank is looking for.

OK after thinking this thing over. How about this? Jesse goes to the bathroom and then sends himself a text message from another phone just to test Walt (to see if he will open it).
No thoughts on this?
Maybe Jesse opened and closed the blinds in the bathroom, which alerted Tyrus to send the text message. And Jose Bautista hit a home run.
:lmao: Maybe one other person in this thread will get that.

That would be me. But I'm guessing there's more than that.

unbelievable episode

the flashback scene at the pool reminded me of a similar scene in the movie Revenge with Anthony Quinn and Kevin Costner.

BB did it better though.

Anyone else gonna DVR the show when it airs and watch it when the Cowboys/Jets game ends?

Maybe Goggins can send a PM and ruin the episode for me like he did with the Rescue Me series finale.

You have only yourself to blame if you went into the Rescue Me thread w/o watching the final. By the way, when I DVR Breaking Bad I'm smart enough to not go into this thread until I've watched it. ;) I am watching the game so yes I'm recording BB

Great episode.

I like the new angle with Skylar having to deal with a tax audit with her old job - not to mention her outfit.

I like the Jesse vs Walt angle with Jesse almost certainly on Gus's side now.

I like Hank wanting to go look at the facilities.

I like Mike asking Jesse if something happened to Hank if that would upset him.
