I think Gus poisoning his tormentor and the rest of his cartel was the biggest  moment for me.

Walt running over the drug dealers to save Jesse. Didn't see that coming at all. Plus it was the first big shocking moment to me.

1a. Walt watches Jane die.

1b. Walt runs over the drug dealers with his car, before executing with a gun the one who survived it.

I only had a couple more possibilities, but didn't want to break out 15 more choices for them.

- The bathtub falling through the floor.

- "I f---ed Ted."

- Junior skipping breakfast.

Actually, Walt Jr stuttering through "Why don't you just die already."

That was tough to sit through.

Walt killing Krazy-8 is up there too, though after he discovered a piece of the plate was missing, you had to figure his demise was coming one way or another.

I wasn't so surprised by most of these scenes...but I'll always have a fondness for "HOLA DEA!"

I did NOT see that coming...

Probably not the top moment but when the meth head was crushed by the ATM - full of holyshockawesomenessitude.

Toss up between three for me -

1. Walt watching Jane die.

2. Lily of the Valley - Walt poisoned the kid Brock.

3. Todd shooting the child on the motorcycle so there's no witnesses.

I went with #3. One and two were shocking, and ladder step moments in Walt's decline as a human being, but Todd shooting that kid was both horrendous and came out of nowhere.

I'm a terrible human being because I :lmao: so hard when that happened. Especially when his doped up wife just sort of shrugged and wandered back to the couch. Meth! Nothing like it!

i voted box cutter. fits the word "shocking" best for me. i think that Walt watching Jane die is right up there especially because of how important it was to Walt's breaking bad. also thought of Walt killing Krazy 8.

The whole Lilly of the Valley revaluation was a huge moment of the series, arguably the most important but I can't say shocking.

I'd have to say Salud!

Season 3 finale was superb, ending with Jesse killing Gale.
This was my choice. I didn't think the writers would let Jesse cross that far into the dark side. I'm conditioned by every other show to expect last-minute circumstances to get "good" characters out of bad situations like that. But nope, shot him in the face.

Walt running over the drug dealers and then shooting the one got the loudest HOLY #### out of me.

My wife's reaction when he took the baby in the second or third to last episode eclipsed mine though. That has to be pretty high up there.

This is how I voted as well.

I voted Walt running down the drug dealers. I think that really set the bar for shocking moments for the rest of the series.

Not on the list but probably in my top 5 - Todd killing Andrea while Jesse watches. That was just brutal.

There were a lot (obviously) of shocking moments. Walt running the guys over was what I voted, but could have gone with many.

Another one that shocked me big time that hasn't been mentioned was the kid on the bike shooting combo.

Todd shooting the kid on the bike is currently the highest vote getter

Hank figuring it out was a Kaiser Soze moment. It was by far the most memorable dump in television history. It was the biggest and most obviously necessary turning point in the show, yet you still didn't see it coming. And if it hadn't happened, everyone would have been better off.

No, he's talking about a different kid, the one who was riding around in circles while Combo was selling, and he called up and said these guys are eyeballing me hard, and then the kid just stops the bike and pops him. That's an awesome call, too.

I didn't expect it to be in the lead when I voted, but the Jane thing was pretty shocking. I don't know why. I guess because she wasn't in the "game" and was an innocent.

You could say the same about Brock, but that Jane scene was much more tangible.

Todd always seemed like a psycho so seeing him do something psychotic didn't have the same impact for me. But it was a huge WTF moment, for sure.

Whew... my first one was the tub and people goo.

the biggest one was probably watching Jane die or the drug dealer one as others mentioned

I voted Hank figures out Walt is Heisenberg. I guess I should have seen it coming since the scene before that everyone was way too happy. But I remember sitting there slack-jawed thinking of the implications. There probably isn't another event on this list that would shape future outcomes as much as this one.

Todd shooting the kid was pretty jarring as well.

The box cutter I could tell was coming, no shock at all. Most of the others on the list had some kind of foreshadowing so they weren't really shocking per se. I knew Jesse was going to kill Gale when he knocked on his door. Gus poisoning the cartel was somewhat obvious as well.

I don't know about that. Todd wasn't seen as a psycho until that moment. A thief with criminal connections? Sure. But a cold heartless killer who murders kids? Not yet. He actually seemed kind of wholesome (for a criminal). That was the moment you realized who he was. And it was hella shocking.

:bag:

Sorry Emerson!

So many good ones, what a great show. Have to go with Hank seeing the book on the toilet.

The feeling I had when the Nazis pulled into the desert area where Hank and Walt were was like a punch in the gut.

The fact that a lot of these moments weren't really that surprising, but were still traumatic as hell and shocking, is a real testament to the quality of this show.

In 95% of these events listed, they were really just the most logical thing to happen next.

We weren't very good at guessing what would happen next because we were watching the characters develop in front of our eyes. The actions told us how the characters were developing (just like in real life).

I expected the series to be a self directed progression of Walt becoming more and more evil. While shocking events unfolded, that was the entire point of the series, so nothing Walt did really caught me off guard.

I saw Jesse being dragged along in that progression, so his sins were an extension of Walt's in my mind. He never would have killed Gale on his own volition.

Todd however killed the kid from his own volition, and I didn't expect that at all. It seemed to shock both Walt and Jesse. Walt got over the shock quickly and saw the value of it. Jesse however never let it go. To me that was the biggest shock of the series. Never saw that coming at all.
