Breaking News - Terrell Owens Rushed to local hospital (1 Viewer)

from that Dallas Cowboy forum"CBS 11 said Baylor Dallas...TO lives around the corner from me in Irving (I think...at least he used to), so I'm certain EMC would take him to the HCA facility here in Las Colinas...they have a fully staffed ER. They could have taken him to Baylor Irving, which actually would be farely far away as well. Closest trauma center would be Parkland which is much closer than Baylor Dallas...so who knows?Terrell Bolton would make sense, that guy may be in some hot water. Fired by the City Manager amid serious misconduct allegations...including the "Fake" Drug scandal...an episode where DPD confiscated controlled substances and arrested citizens for possession, intent to sell, etc. Many of these cases went to court, people tried and convicted only to have the original evidence tested later to discover it was baking soda or some stuff like that. Pretty corrupt organization at this time."
Thanks a bunch Righetti.

Darn. You missed out on having your name in lights. I can live with that. Posting that kind of story with no confirmation means your thread gets deleted. Again, I can live with that. I delete a lot of crap threads. Yes, this one had wheels, but it doesn't change the fact that it was an uncorroborated story. Further, there were leads (apparently erroneous ones) that indicated it wasn't true.
Second, Shick your earlier response to texasheat of "quit pissing in our pool" was uncalled for and really made me lose some respect for you.
If having a high standard means that a story was delayed for two minutes (I think it was two minutes) before there was some confirmation I guess I can live without your respect.
In concur, weak.

How about changing the title to NOT CONFIRMED. No need to delete it.

Is it possible that anything illegal, like narcotics is involved and he could be looking at suspension? Pure speculation.
why even say stuff like that? waste of time.
Well, you induce vomitting for: 1. Food poisoning2. Drug overdoseAny others? It's 50/50
I'm waiting for confirmation on the "induce vomiting" business. I don't know why you'd induce vomiting for food poisoning -- you usually take care of that all by your onesie.Sounds as if they're discussing gastric lavage or suction (saw NG tube noted in one of these threads) which is done in some toxicology cases. Could also be done in cases of other abdominal pathology - obstruction/bleeding. Not heard of it being done for a medication reaction either -- though could be wrong there.Edited for details...

Exactly. And to delete instead of lock, even worse.

Legal/prescription drug overdose. Considering he's on pain meds, it's a lot better than 50/50 it's not illicit drugs.
:goodposting: Space cadet TO may be, but he's always been serious about football and has kept himself in tip-top shape. I don't think illegal drugs are likely. We're all just speculating, but it seems like the most likely scenario would involve painkillers - if the current info is accurate.

Can you dumb this down for us pleebs?

So is this true or not???????Is it Bolton or Owens. From the espn report it sounds legit!!
:goodposting: :goodposting: :goodposting: :goodposting: Usual Shark Pool Pissing Contests aside, can we either decide if its really Michael Bolton or whoever the hell it is, or AT LEAST CHANGE THE THREAD TITLE to: "Some black guy went to Dallas Hospital, some sources say TO, some disagree" or something that doesnt make me poop down both legs as my fantasy season takes another monstrous torpedo?

I'm totally confused b/c I started to read 2 threads that got deleted before I could get to the 2nd page. I thought we wanted this kind of breaking news here...or else shouldn't the unverifiable Priest story from last year been deleted even though it was a very valuable contribution?

Anyway, can someone give a summary here? Is this mistaken identity with ESPN jumping the gun or a real story. I think we have merged threads making it more confusing.

yep all ture..bad reaction to pain meds..liekly out for this week anyways...not sure if this is a repeat just got back home and LT Brick is reporting this on the radio

Sure.Snake a big ole tube down your nose and attach her to suction -- before or after dumping a bunch of saline (lavage) down the tube.

With suction gets rid of a backup of swallowed air if there's an obstruction or accumulated blood for bleeding. Lavage with saline aids in the diagnosis of bleeding or treatment of toxic "overdose".

um, when over 100 people are reading the thread, its really annoying to merge it because we have to move to the new one. very annoying.

yes i am also sorry for calling out the first reporter on this thread...nice find and thanks for the quick heads up..

Gastric Lavage is a tecnique used to empty the stomach in emergency situations. Usually used if a patient has ingested something toxic and needs to get their stomach pumped.

So this is the second time T.O. has had an allergic reaction to the medication he's taking to reduce the swelling.

Sounds like they're pumping his stomach. Often done for poison. Sometimes also done when you've got internal bleeding or you've got too much crap in you. Probably not an OD on painkillers.

Beginning to wonder if there isnt an existing Madden 07 demo copy out there somewhere with T.O.s mug on it.

I'm assuming a lot here, but for all your T.O owners out there don't be too worried, this is unlikely to keep him out for longer than a week. If that.

There sure is a bunch of individuals who have to crack jokes or use this forum as a way to prove their ignorance. Let's get all the information before we speculate.
