I am Going with Drew Brees but I still think Brees will get robbed of the MVP and they will give that to Warner
 A record breaking season in which your team misses the playoffs is better than a near record breaking season in which your team wins its conference? The Cardinals were terrible last year. Kurt Warner is the only real difference this year. IMO he's far more deserving of the award this year.

:) He did start 10 games last year and threw 20+ passes in 13 games last year.

I think both will come up a bit short, but if anyone does it, I think it will be Brees rather than Warner. He just seems more fixated on it, as evidenced by his comments on MNF last night when they talked to him about it. Something along the lines that he wants the record, but clearly in the realm of winning games.

I voted both. I was skeptical until this week (ok, I still am a bit) but after Brees dimsantled one of the best corner duos in the league and Warner managed to put up great yardage against a relentless rush, I think they both will pass 5k.

Yes, he did. But he hardly got any first team reps in the preseason last year and didn't get any while Leinart was the starter. Having reps to establish rhythm with your WRs does help a bit.ETA: Plus that team was like night and day last year with Warner in vs. Leinart. He clearly does single handedly make that team better.

We haven't missed the playoffs yet and until the Saints are mathematically eliminated you can not count them out because of Drew Brees. Also winning the NFC West is that something to really call an accomplishment? Every team in the NFC south would win the NFC west and that is a fact! The Cards are the only decent team playing in that division- Rams? Seahawks? 49ers? Blaaahh!!!Let me tell you the difference in what Warner is doing and what Brees is doing. Warner has two of the best wr's in football in Fitzgerald and Bouldin.

For Drew Brees he has been without Reggie Bush, Colston is just now getting back , Shockey has been out, David Patten, but Drew hasnt missed a beat and Drew has no real defense to give the team he is playing against 3 and outs. So he has less time in which to put up these yards. He has made average guys like Lance Moore who was cut by the Browns and wasnt a lock to even make the team this year into a star quality WR that every one is scrambling to get on their FF roster, And Billy Miller are you kidding me? Miller is putting up about 9 points a game in my league. that is serviceable numbers for sure for a guy who was a cast off from the Broncos and Texans. Brees is doing it with second teamers and a less than stellar O-line that has missed the services of 3 of its starters. What more can I say for the guy.

I wasn't saying that Warner hasn't made the team better or not. I was just stating that you said Warner is the only difference between last years team and this years team when it's not the case. You can make the case he didn't get any preseason reps (I don't think that matters much) and the team seemed to play better with Warner in, but prior to Warner's first full game as starter in week they were 3-3. After that they were 5-5. This year they are 7-4, beating the teams they should, losing the games they should, and splitting the rest. As much as I hate to say it b/c I actually am rooting for them, but they're an average team that has benefited from playing in a weak NFC West Division. That said, I actually think if the season ended today Warner would easily win MVP and I can see it based on his stats and their record, but I'm not sure if he really deserves (I'm not really sure that anyone is playing well enough to deserve it). Against arguably the 2 best teams they played this year (NYJ & NYG) sure he put up big numbers (Numbers against the Jets were all garbage stats) but his team got handled easily in both those games and the score is not indicitive of the game. I need to see him lead his team to victory against a quality opponent. I think if he can beat NE on the road and play well he should wrap up the award.
