Purposely peddling lies of a political nature, especially when done for profit, is an attack on the foundations of our nation, regardless of the tribe being supported or attacked by said lies. Websites and media outlets that do this in a way that obfuscates the line between news and opinion are guilty of journalistic malpractice and should be sued into oblivion by folks that suffer any sort of damage as a result of the mis- and dis- information that was presented.

Contrary to the constant narrative I see, the right-wing media is guilty of far more egregious behavior on this front than the so-called mainstream media is or ever has been, no matter how little they may be trusted.

What I wrote in the Supreme Court thread is that it’s a sign of uncivil behavior. From both left and right we’re moving away from the norms of civilized society. It’s scary.
