This is a post taken from the Scout forums, by member: morella4. Thought it'd be a good listen and research for the Pool.

This is an interview on Colin Cowherd's show which breaks down how they at Sports Science scout a QB. It is interesting that their results, though limited, have proven to be 100% effective in predicting busts and solid QB's, so far. I find it really intriguing how they break down a QB :
- Accuracy from the pocket 10,15,20 yards down field noting that 80% of all NFL passes are within 10 yards so that is the most important pass in football.
- Ability to throw on the run and outside of the pocket
- Touch and throwing off balance
- Release time being a misnomer
- Identifying targets and linking that to release time, how quickly do you identify a target, start their motion, and then release the ball
- Accuracy under pressure

GREAT breakdown of Manziel and Bortles
- McCarron most accurate 15yds and in IN the pocket
- Bridgewater has a much stronger arm than anticipated (54mph ball avg. 48-49mph), but accuracy much worse than thought. Very intelligent

Show will be televised on April 20th on ESPN.

By the sounds of it, none of the QBs grade out very highly and all sound like "decent" projects... definitely not something to hang your hat on, with an early pick.

Can you post more info on the scientific method used?
Gonna have to wait until the 20th to watch... as I have no idea.

Just thought it was interesting, especially the claim of "100% accuracy on rating busts and successes"
