This kid hits some serious home runs. That one yesterday looked like it had way too much loft off the bat but he just blasted the hell out of it and it carried. I read earlier this season that something like 7 out of his 11 HR (at the time) had been over 400 feet. He's the #12 fantasy player in my league over the last month.

This has been about as drastic a reversion to the mean as I could have imagined for this kid. 4 for his last 36. It was fun while it lasted, but the ride might be over.

Just looking at the Sox/Tiger box score and was reminded of this kid. What a spectacular collapse. I guess the good thing is that it was so spectacular he was an easy drop early in the slump.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but it's still too early to draw conclusions. Perhaps he has seen the light with the lower swing rate and strikeout rate and higher walk rate. But his BABIP is pretty high, and he's still under 100 PA so I can't get too pumped.

I think his babip and strikeout rate will rise. I think his walk rate will drop. I think he's going to crash back to earth. Hard. Sell while you can find people who like him more than they should.
