Brennan Boesch (1 Viewer)

Still posting a ridiculous .337/.384/.617 line, OPS of 1.001

Thank God for Guillen's gimpy hamstring.

Boesch, Andrus and Napoli

for

Smoak, Werth, and Axford

I ask here because last time I asked for trade advice (in the trade advice thread) I was ignored.

team getting Boesch package wants HRs ans steals and has four closers so can stand to lose Axford

team getting Werth package needs a second closer and is banking on Boesch falling apart

I rejected it.redraft head-to-headTHat's enough info. I won't post rosters.

Should be. He's easily been the best rookie this year and if he qualified for the batting title (which he will in about 10-15 more games), he'd be fifth in AVG, second in SLG (to Cabrera), and third in OPS.

This kid hits some serious home runs. That one yesterday looked like it had way too much loft off the bat but he just blasted the hell out of it and it carried. I read earlier this season that something like 7 out of his 11 HR (at the time) had been over 400 feet. He's the #12 fantasy player in my league over the last month.

This has been about as drastic a reversion to the mean as I could have imagined for this kid. 4 for his last 36. It was fun while it lasted, but the ride might be over.

He may not have the value he did 3 weeks ago, but if we're going to make a push he is the only attractive trade chip (Damon withstanding) I think we can justify moving.

Just looking at the Sox/Tiger box score and was reminded of this kid. What a spectacular collapse. I guess the good thing is that it was so spectacular he was an easy drop early in the slump.

Looks like he's back. Leyland says he thinks the kid has a real shot at becoming a special player and Jimmy don't mince words. He's hitting .340 again. I thinknit's beyond flukish or variance when yoummanage to hit .325+ over this many months.

Thoughts? Is he for real?
