Brett Favre (1 Viewer)

So where do you draft Brett this year?

He had 20 TDs and 29 ints last year. The schedule is kinda soft. Does Walker come back? Does Ahman return to form and actually play a year and can provide running game and catch balls regularly? What if Packers get Vernon Davis to go with Bubba this Sat?

What do you do, sharks? Lets hear it (make assumptions regarding the parameters mentioned above).

If they of Davis at 1.05 I would feel safe in picking Favre around the 6th round. If not Davis but Ferguson I would, again, feel safe picking him in the 6th round. If they go defense move the round to 7th or 8th.

The great thing with Favre is whenever you do draft him you know you have an every week starter. He is never injured but his supporting cast, last year at least, was. Favre is still in tier 2 or the top of tier 3 depending how you do it. Tier 3 should include the QB's that would be ranked no lower than 12... thus a starter in a 12 team league.

If his receivers stay healthy(not counting Walker) this year I think he may be worthy of being a qb1.

The d still sucks and he isn't going to be coming out of the game so he's going to get his numbers.

He's also the only qb I know who can give you NEGATIVE points. If you don't get penalized for interceptions then have at him. Otherwise, run far, far away. Let some other chump get stuck with him.

Let's go with this scoring system:

50 yds passing/1 pt

10 yds rushing/1 pt

TD/6 pts

INTs/-2 pts
Holy ####. Talk about zero credit for yards and everyhitng based on TDs.

I think about the 10th round. LOL @ someone rather having Harrington. Please. I think Brett in a very nice platoon QB plan would be an excellent addition to any team and good value later in draft

In 12 team laegue.

Manning/Palmer/McNabb/Bulger/Brady/Eli/Hass/Delhomme/Green/Vick/Bledsoe

Which could put Brett platooning with any of Big Ben/Mcnair/Lefty/Brees/Warner/Brunnell in a QBBC and having a nice combo. No wonder I will be one of the last to draft a QB this year. I can live with the 2nd list.

Unless I'm getting +2 for every INT from Favre I won't be taking him. He doesn't have the same arm strength that he used to have and can't make the same throws that he used to make. Unfortunately his brain hasn't accepted that and he continues to try to throw those passes over and over and over again.

In strictly yardage and TD leagues, Favre will still crack the Top-10. However, if you get penalized severely for INT's, Favre will probably settle in the 15-20 range for '06.

IMO.

I'd pick him up kinda late. In a redraft I think he will be good to play the matchups. He'd be pretty solid if you like platooning your QB's

The problem is that Favre won't last until the 10th round. My gut tells me he'll be drafted somewhere around QB 12 (probably 9th round).QB's I would draft in front of him (assuming -2 per INT):

Manning

Brady

Bulger

Hasselbeck

Palmer

Brooks

Delhomme

McNabb

Bledsoe

Rothlisberger

Green

Plummer

E. Manning

[FAVRE]

C-Pepp/Harrington?

Carr

Warner

Rivers

Vick

The bigger problem is that the 5 qb's I have after Favre I have virtually in a dead heat with Brett = I'll take two of any from Rothlisberger on and take my chances; but will do so based on Value (i.e, best available around round 8, unless value presents itself prior, and pick the next best available around round 10 for a backup with huge upside. I like the chances of having one good qb IF you have two of the above.

I'm still thinking it over and haven't made up my mind yet. It depends on whether my team gets enough good players and is making an effort to win. :bag:
