Brian St. Pierre (1 Viewer)

Godsbrother

He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 5th round of the 2003 NFL Draft. The Steelers were coming off back-to-back AFC North championships but finished behind the Baltimore Ravens in 2003 and lost in the first round of the wildcard playoffs.

In 2004 the Steelers went 15-1 and St. Pierre actually made an appearance in the season finale against the Buffalo Bills (he was 0/1 passing and he had 5 carries, 4 of which were kneel-downs for -3 yards). The Steelers lost in the AFC Championship game at home against New England that season.

In Sepetember of 2005 he was waived by the Steelers and signed with the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens finished 6-10 while the Steelers went on to win the Super Bowl.

In Sepetember of 2006 St. Pierre was back with the Steelers. The defending Super Bowl champs finished 8-8 and missed the playoffs while St. Pierre's former team, the Ravens went 13-3 and won the division.

The Steelers won the division in 2007 but lost at home in the AFC Wildcard playoff game to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In 2008 St. Pierre left the Steelers to join the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals lost the Super Bowl to St. Pierre's old club, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This preseason St. Pierre is competing for the #2 QB spot behind Kurt Warner. Maybe the Cardinals should just give Lienart the #2 job and cut St. Pierre outright...

What do you mean?!?! This guy is a champ! 1997 St John's Prep Suber Bowl Champion :)

He's been able to have a career in the NFL basically carrying a clipboard. He's got to have some talent to stick around.

He's gonna get an NFC Champs ring and was at the Super Bowl. I dunno, I'd call him blessed; he's been on the field more than I ever will. :scared:

No doubt. I was just talking about his history of being somewhat unlucky to whatever team he is on.

If I'm reading your OP correctly, he was on a 15-1 team that reached the AFC Championship, a team that won the division, and a team that went to the Super Bowl. That's really not too shabby.

JP Losman showed a helluva lot more and is out of the league.

I'd say St. Pierre is the cockroach that keeps surviving the nuclear holocausts.

You forget, this is the Cardinals he is on. If he's the good luck charm that gets them to win a division, much less the NFC, they need to keep him around.

Seems like he is more of a good luck charm than a jinx. He has a Suber bowl ring and was on the Cardinals when they made it to the suberbowl. Something NOBODY expected.

The point was he was on the Steelers his entire career EXCEPT when they won the Super Bowl.

When did he get a Super Bowl ring?
My bad, i thought he was the backup on one of the Steeler rings.

In the grand scheme of things Brian St. Pierre appears to have had a charmed life compared to most of us. I just found it curious that he had been with the Steelers and didn't win a ring, then goes to Ravens and they tank that season while the Steelers win the SB. Then he goes back to the Steelers and they tank while the Ravens win the division. Then he goes to the Cardinals and loses in the Super Bowl to the Steelers.
