The following is from PFT this morning.

EAGLES EXPECT TO HAVE WESTBROOK, NOT ANDREWS OR CURTISPosted by Michael David Smith on October 5, 2008, 9:03 a.m. The Philadelphia Eagles expect to have running back Brian Westbrook on the field today against the Redskins.Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Eagles think Westbrook will be OK to play a week after sitting out the team’s loss to the Bears with an ankle injury. However, it’s not all good news on the injury front for the Eagles. Schefter reports that guard Shawn Andrews is out with a back injury and wide receiver Kevin Curtis is out with a hernia. Both had been listed as doubtful on the injury report.Andrews’ back is getting better, and he’s expected to return next week at San Francisco.

This is the last post from Rotoworld yesterday, looks to me that he will start today

Eagles beat writer Les Bowen "can't remember [brian] Westbrook ever practicing full-go on Friday and then not playing on Sunday."

No reporters saw him make a sharp cut during Thursday or Friday practices, but Bowen calls Westbrook a "likely participant" at less than 100 percent. Be sure to check back Sunday morning for final analysis.

Eagles | Buckhalter could see bigger workload Week 5

Matt Mosley, of ESPN.com, reports Philadelphia Eagles RB Correll Buckhalter is expected to end up with more carries than RB Brian Westbrook (ankle) in the team's Week 5 game.

This is my only concern is how many carries Westbrook gets

The credibility of this update tanked the second I read that. Westbrook is going to go and he's going to have more touches than Buckhalter. ESPN is so stupid.

:lmao: I may have agreed with this generalization in the past ("dismiss it, it came from ESPN"), but since they've been doing their division-specific bloggers this year, I haven't really noticed them being that "stupid" or anything.

When I saw that it reminded me of the bozo reporter who said Chester Taylor would get the first half carries last week, then ADP will blend in the second half (or something crazy to that effect).

More like end up with more carries in the first drive.

Why would Philly play him on a limited basis? Buckhalter is not BW.

IMHO, he either plays as the workhorse or he doesn't go at all. Since he is ACTIVE, he should go full.

 The Eagles know they have to win this game today. Considering how tough that division is, they cannot afford to lose home games against division opponents. They need this game, and Westbrook touching the ball as much as possible greatly improves their chances of doing so.
