My take with the weather and Westy currently questionable, MCcoy will be getting a lot of touches either way. While McCoy may not be the receiving threat Westy is, he seems like a great start today.

John Clayton (ESPN sportscenter) reported that Westbrook has not come out for warm-ups but could be held out because of his injury and the weather. Clayton said more will be known after warm-ups.

Jackson & Westbrook have been getting those snaps - more to Jackson,though.

Maybe they utilize these special formations more than in weeks 1+2, now that Vick is an option. Maybe not. But if so, it probably means less standard rushing plays for the Philly O overall. Have to see how they do things, but IMO McCoy gets what Westbrook would have gotten, in terms of work load.

I'm fine with McCoy getting Westbrook's usual workload. I just wanted a Philly homer's take on the chances of Leonard Weaver or this Eldra Buckley stealing carries and suddenly we have a New England Patriots type split at RB.

To be clear I've heard no such whispers but stranger things have happened. Ideally, a Philly homer will pop in and tell us how confident the coaches are in McCoy and they're ready to get him 20+ touches.

So, wait. First we weren't sure to use McCoy because we weren't sure that Westy was playing. Now that we know Westy is out we are NOW unsure to use McCoy because Vick might eat into his carries?What? Can't we be satisfied that McCoy is now a great play?
