Oh Snap!Where does he land and how do the Eagles replace him?
Philly, here comes LT.
I think they said they weren't on the market for older RBs.Would Houston be a good fit?
both of them still have roles in the nfl, maybe not for your fantasy team. I could see Westy being a nice value though. One man's trash is another man's treasure......unless you're talking about Westbrook. Both he and LT2 need to brush up on their tv analyst skills.
Agreed. Look how long Kevin Faulk has stuck around.both of them still have roles in the nfl, maybe not for your fantasy team. I don't think he does, not as an every down back. The Eagles would have kept him but he would have been owed 8 mill this year.Going to be interesting to see how Andy approaches the run game now with Westbrook out the picture.I think he's got more left in the tank.
Uhhh, what run game?Going to be interesting to see how Andy approaches the run game now with Westbrook out the picture.
Ditto - one of my all-time favorite Eagles. Will never forget the way 36 saved the 2003 season with his last minute punt return TD in Giants Stadium. He brought it week in and week out until he couldn't anymore.Cheers to BWest!Philly fan and ties to Villanova, really sorry to see him go but I guess all good things must end. Thanks for the memories and I wish you the best. :wipesatear:

I agree, his ypc were still respectable on a poor run blocking team. But if he's smart, he'll realize that the concussions he's suffered this year are a sign that it's time to hang em up.trader jake said:I think he's got more left in the tank.
I think BW still has elite talent, he just can't handle 300 touches anymore. LT is simply done, imo...the stats seem to support both cases, as well as the eyeball test. BW looked fine to me, LT, not so much...But yeah...if Westbrook has been smart with his money and is thinking clearly, he should hang them up. The emerging science revolving around concussions/ the brain/football players should make every NFL player stop and think about what they are doing to their body and brain. Get that big paycheck, save most of it, and get out of the game asap...JohnnyU said:One man's trash is another man's treasure......unless you're talking about Westbrook. yeah, but they didn't use to end like this. i wish westbrook would have retired.Lehigh98 said:Philly fan and ties to Villanova, really sorry to see him go but I guess all good things must end. Thanks for the memories and I wish you the best. :wipesatear:
I think it usually ends this way and usually did in the past as well.yeah, but they didn't use to end like this. i wish westbrook would have retired.Lehigh98 said:Philly fan and ties to Villanova, really sorry to see him go but I guess all good things must end.

He could still retire. But there's no reason to right now if someone's willing to make him a decent offer.Seems to me he should be looking for a team that is ready to win that has a good starting RB but a need for a 3rd down back. If Taylor leaves Minny how about him pairing with AD?yeah, but they didn't use to end like this. i wish westbrook would have retired.Lehigh98 said:Philly fan and ties to Villanova, really sorry to see him go but I guess all good things must end. Thanks for the memories and I wish you the best. :wipesatear:
no, it is only the last 10-20 years.I think it usually ends this way and usually did in the past as well.yeah, but they didn't use to end like this. i wish westbrook would have retired.Lehigh98 said:Philly fan and ties to Villanova, really sorry to see him go but I guess all good things must end.

'bout time, he's been washed up for a couple years.Jeff Tefertiller said:Where does he land and how do the Eagles replace him?
he's always been that...Westbrook can still play but is as durable as fine china at this stage of his career.
We'll take him! No arguments here. He can mentor Slaton, Brown, etc. and lead us to the playoffs!3nOut said:Would Houston be a good fit?
Weaver is a RFA no need to resign him they can match any offer he gets so the ball in their court.Westbrook is done. Too many concussions and thats something I do not think people are taking lightly any more. II look for the Eagles to try very hard to resign Leonard Weaver. I loved him in this offense and I would not be surprised to see him take on a much larger role in their offense.
He has been on several news/radio shows saying that he and the Eagles have been talking and trying to work out a contract.Weaver is a RFA no need to resign him they can match any offer he gets so the ball in their court.Westbrook is done. I'd love to see him in a Pats unidgreen said:New England?
I just hope LT doesn't have to wear a dark visor while on the set of ESPN GamedayJohnnyU said:One man's trash is another man's treasure......unless you're talking about Westbrook. Both he and LT2 need to brush up on their tv analyst skills.

Only when he's interviewing Ricky WilliamsI just hope LT doesn't have to wear a dark visor while on the set of ESPN GamedayJohnnyU said:One man's trash is another man's treasure......unless you're talking about Westbrook. Both he and LT2 need to brush up on their tv analyst skills.![]()
Don't they have that role filled?Perfect fit for the Chargers...pass catching RB in a now passing first and second offense.
Yeah, I could see him doing very well in a Martz offense. With his pass-catching abilities he'd be great here in Chicago.
Come on Switz, stop stirring the pot. Westbrook was a great football player and all of the greats decline some at some point, stepping on them on their decline proves what, that you saw it coming and nobody else did?A few years back, Westbrook was one of the best all around running backs in the game and no matter where he ends up, I'll always remember him as an Eagle.'bout time, he's been washed up for a couple years.Jeff Tefertiller said:Where does he land and how do the Eagles replace him?
Agreed. Enjoy hatin' on the eagles, but I've always clammed up when Westbrook made my defense look old, fat and stupid. Always liked him.Come on Switz, stop stirring the pot. Gotta agree with these two posts. I'm glad to see him out of Philly but damn he made that offense click. Without him I think McNabb would have been gone in just a few years. Westy made him look better than he was/is.Agreed. Enjoy hatin' on the eagles, but I've always clammed up when Westbrook made my defense look old, fat and stupid.
