Give me a break!
And while we are at it I am trying to say this as kindly as is possible, I have a hard time believing that you don’t want Trump to be the candidate in 2024? There is only one way that is possible and that is to stop making excuses for all his actions and reject him.

To put it a little more bluntly, why does anybody care what an old white guy whose job was literally just sitting in front of a camera and reading thinks about anything? The world has passed him all he is capable of doing is impotently whining about some vague “darkness” and seeing if anybody gives a ####.

Exactly. When do you see any of these corporate media "journalists" perform intellectually honest self-critique? Never. And they are a greater component of the problem than whatever Williams claims the problem is.

Almost as funny as Williams' ignoring the role of the media in all of this.Funny thing I am noticing on social media where staunch Republican Trump allies are posting William’s last 11th hour speech and think he is talking about the mess we are in due to the Deep State and our current administration.

Speaking of the role of the media, how do you feel about people on Fox (Hannity, Ingram, etc.) advising the president? Do you feel a line is crossed when the president and a major media outlet are that chummy? Does it start to border on state run media?

It borders on state run media no matter which "side" does it. Rather than being chummy, their priority should be to hold politicians accountable.

People like Hannity etc are OPINION people. We already know who they support and if they want to put their two cents in, then it’s not really a state run media.
What feels like a state run media is most of the rest of the media marching in political lockstep, repeating each other’s lies non-stop. Ex CIA and FBI bigwigs becoming pundits. The revolving door between political operative and news personality, the number of political people who are related to/married to top execs of news organizations…etc

I guess this must be a world-wide conspiracy then. If you look at the media from around the world (Britain, Sweden, Australia, Canada), when they report on the US they seem to be way more similar to NBC or CNN then they do Fox News or Breitbart.
I really think that Trumps army has gone overboard with the fake news thing. Trump created this whole conspiracy so that he could say or do anything he wanted without repercussions. And then when you give him his own media outlet... The fact that Don Jr. is calling Fox on election night to retract them calling Arizona, is proof enough.
