Brice Bulter... is he a sneaky play tomorrow? (1 Viewer)

BHe looked good last week on 5 targets and was thrown at twice in the endzone. His involvement in the offense seems to do there and the opportunity is increasing each week.

Thoughts?

totally depends on your options - for those of us who were still hoping Harvin would contribute we get rewarded with no game this week and the waiver wire doesn't have great options .... Yes I grabbed Butler and Yes I am starting him (over a Q Hester @BAL and Britt vs SEA)... at least the Raiders will be behind and Carr will have to throw against the Cardinals

He looked super explosive in the Charger game when he took a pass to the house. Will he get that opportunity again this Sunday, possibly....but it's a real roll of the dice.

You would start him over Patterson?

I'd start Bryce Brown over Patterson.....

Butler has all the physical tools, but he is still WR3 on Oakland. They should be in alot of 3/4WR sets, so he could have a shot if desperate.

Raider fan here everything in camp I've read is that he's a really talented and has a ton of skill. Freak of an athlete and that he should have been starting a long time ago.

He and Holmes should've been starting day 1 with the lack of a legit QB on the team. Mediocre/bad QB's need big, fast receivers to throw the ball up to. Hope they can make a few big plays every week, it can't be any worse than their gameplan now.

I view him as a level below Davante Adams because 1) Carr's not Rodgers yet and 2) he hasn't locked the 3rd WR spot up yet. So there's not a legit flex/wr3 play there yet.

He split time with Denarius Moore last week @ the #3 WR spot. If his snap count continues to increase vs. Moore that will be more opportunities, but he's probably at best 3rd in Carr's progressions when he's out there.

There's worse desperation plays but there may be better ones too.

Raiders are stupid wasting time with inferior WRs like D. Moore and V. Brown. This guy is the best WR on the team as far as upside. He can drop one pass and never see the field for weeks. Moore can drop 3 in one game and get the start the next week. If they wake up, he can be something.
