Brilliant or %^&*@! (1 Viewer)

Guy at the convenience store standing in front of the self serve soda fountain, totally blocking the whole area while he fills up his cup, takes a couple of drinks, fills it up again, takes a couple of more drinks, fills it up a third time, takes a few more drinks, then fills it up.

Takes another drink, then finally walks off while the rest of us stand there, looking.

Is the guy a %^&*@! - a soda stealer, a consumer of overhead, a thief of liquid refreshment?

Or brilliant, because he just got away with 64oz of soda while paying for 32oz?

Bear in mind that a 64 oz fountain drink costs the store $0.06 max, cup included, and you'll see they have no incentive to keep anyone from the slurp and refill. People waiting in line will not forego 99% of the time. They may @#$%& and moan but they will still get theirs.

It astounds me that anyone would try to squeeze more out of a ridiculously large drink to begin with.

Isn't this why the 64oz is $0.89?

'Muerica!!

It was rude to the other customers, but I wouldn't consider it stealing. The mark-up on fountain drinks (any drink in general) is ridiculous.

This is what I teach my kids: Stealing is ok as long as you believe the person you're stealing from is still in good shape.

I see what you did there. ;)
