Millen? Are you kidding me? I'd rather have Gumbel calling Frank Gore "Al" next week than listen to Millen. Unbelievable!

Millen? Good grief. What buffoon made this decision?

I'm well aware of the fact he used to be great at this kind of thing. But he did such an unbelievably horrible job with the Lions I simply cannot take him seriously. At anything.

I would rather listen to Matt Damon than Matt Millen.

I hope this pending trainwreck does not last long and someone is fired over this move.

Millen was a good broadcaster. Lousy GM, but good broadcaster. I expect more of the same from him.
Bernie Madoff may talk nice too but he and Millen screwed too many people. Why is anyone rewarding this clown after what he did to Detroit? Give it to Sterling Sharpe or anyone else.

Millen as a NFL GM was the worst EVER

Millen on ESPN (Post-Monday night game) is horrible...almost unwatchable.

Millen as a color analyst on College Games right now....very good.

Just sayin'

I don't get how anyone can say he's a good broadcaster. I just think the people calling and analyzing games have to have some credibility in the sport they are calling and analyzing. In addition, a lot of times the unknown can work in peoples favor. So in the past, Millen seemed great and beleiveable because of the unknown and people could think what they were hearing from him had credibility because they haven't been proven different. Well that is all completely out the window at this point. He's so bad, I second guess myself watching the game. For example, I may see a LB make a great play and tackle the RB behind the line of scrimmage. Then after the game on Monday's, I listen to Millen say the LB made a great play on that same play. I immediately start to think..."was that a great play"? I mean, it is obvious Millen can't judge anything on the football field correctly, so maybe it wasn't a great play. Maybe the RB made a bad read and the LB was just he beneficiary of being in the right place at the right time? Then I fall asleep confused.

I don't care how he say's it...If he can't run he's own team any better than the Lions, I want the mute button. No Buy!

I thought Millen was great in the booth a few years back, sort of a John Madden lite..Millen is better than a lot of the other drones the networks throw at us on Sundays..I mean, Tony Siragusa? 'these Viking o-linemen are huge'. thanks, Tony! very informative! he's just plain uselessI think Millen is a LOT better than the Cadaver - Kenny Albert, Jaws ( Captain Obvious), Dan Fouts - ("scoring more points than your opponent will help you win") , etc..Millen did a great job years ago, the guy knows football from an insiders' perspective..he knows what he's talking about..just don't hire him to a front office position if you're an NFL owner.. :goodposting:

I am in the position where Millen has 0 football credibility to me. Cannot listen to him. It irritates me that he is given a job talking about something that he failed at so miserably.
