**Browns at Bengals**(-9, 47) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

Looks like Vegas expects a Bengals blowout in this one. I don't really see what Cinci is playing for at this point, I would not want to suit up if I were Higgins or Chase with no long term deal in place and a team owner with a track record of being cheap. Why should they go out there and risk injury at this point?

Doesn't actually seem all that unlikely tbh, but a decent amount of things have to happen:

NFL.com upgraded the Bengals' playoff probability to 8 percent.

Here's what has to happen for Cincinnati:

The Bengals still need to win their final three games of the season: at home against Cleveland on Sunday; at home against Denver on Saturday, December 28; and in Pittsburgh in Week 18.

The Bengals also need the Broncos to lose in Denver to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18.

The Bengals also need the Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts to lose at least one more game.

The biggest thing they need is KC to be playing for something week 18, so the Bengals probably also need them to lose to the Steelers next week.

Burrow, Brown, Chase and Higgins need to lay the wood to the Browns tomorrow show no mercy I need tons of pts from those 4. A shame the Browns are going to just lay down and play a terrible awful QB that has no chance to do squat he is the worst QB I seen in my entire life and it is a joke they are going to run him out there.
His YPA is something awful like worst ever for 100 attempts since the Super Bowl era began.

It would be the most Bengals thing to screw this up, most Browns thing too, as a top-3 pick is within reach. Browns for their part are throwing in DTR who to me is a 7 point downgrade from Winston. I don't see the Browns offense doing much of anything with him at QB. I don't see DTR as an NFL caliber QB. I expect Winston will be playing after halftime and likely make it look closer than it was.

I think the Browns play Chase heavy and dare others to beat them. Which isn't to say they'll stop Chase, just that I don't think this is a 30-point Chase week. Gamescript probably re-enforces that. I like Burrow to have an extremely efficient day, and I think its a Tee Higgins TD week.

Bengals-31
Browns-17

The Bengals should be energized by the Bronco loss. If they win this week they can take care of business by beating the Broncos next week. Then win their finally and hope KC wins. I’m predicting this to happen. The Broncos choked Thursday night and will now miss the playoffs. Sean Payton’s poor clock management to end the half blew it for the Broncos.

KC will be playing back ups Week 18, just my prediction
Denver should still squeak out 10 wins.
I'm not that impressed with Cinci and especially the defense which can collapse at any moment

I see your POV (y)

The Bengals are the quintessential “team nobody wants to play in the playoffs” team

They’re the kind of #7 seed that could bring your 14-3 season to an ignominious Wild Card loss ending

The game on Saturday matters for something and if the Bengals win that one then the last game of the year matters for something and considering we were at 4-8 I'll take it.

The Bengals currently have a 15% chance to make the playoffs
If Denver were to stumble and Cinncy gets in they would play at Buffalo in the first round
If weather is not a factor the over/under on that game could near 60
As a fan I'd rather see that matchup rather than Denver at Buffalo,no shade on Denver
I'm just a fan looking for a great matchup
