It's my understanding that it's the depth chart that determines how NFL.com will list a player. Thomas is a true hybrid, and has been plaing OLB about 60% of the time, DE the rest of the time. I expect him to be listed as a LB when it's all said and done.

As a DE/LB - where would you project him in rankings for a LB in a scoring system of start 3, tackles 2 pts, assists 1 FF 2 FR3 sacks 1.5 per .05 int 3? Would he be a decent #3 starter?TIA

I think he is depth, not a #3 LB. In a scoring system like that, he will get around 180- to 190 points as a ceiling. Of course, it all depends on league size too. In my start 3 sixteen team dynasty league, he would be my 5th or 6th LB.
