Anything here long term?

Feel as if taking him on a flyer this year could pay off in contract leagues.

Thoughts?

who was the last big xii QB to become a franchise QB or even a viable long-term fantasy QB?

I do think he is getting groomed as QB of the future... that being said, he will sit this year 100% and possibly next year as well.

All good things, as he needs to soak in the pro-style offense and techniques..

He did show flashes in Camp and pre-season games that have jet fans slightly optimistic... but thats about it...

His time has finally come. Bryce Petty starts against the RAMS tomorrow.

According to Chris Moore of CBS Radio Sports Network, Bryce Petty will start for the Jets in Week 10 against the Rams.

This is a mild surprise, as Ryan Fitzpatrick stated that he believed he would be able to suit up against the Rams. With the Jets unlikely to make the playoffs, it makes sense for them to see what they have in the second-year starter. It's unclear what effect this will have on the Jets' offense, but given how poorly Fitzpatrick had been playing, it's unlikely to have a significant negative impact.

Has to hurt Brandon Marshall.. But what types of players would you consider starting over him at this point?
Guys who score TDs?

I'm starting Spencer Ware over Marshall at flex.  And with the QB news, I'd start Cobb as plan b over Marshall.  He's just not getting it done this year.  BUST

Yea, I was debating DaVante Adams over Marshall all week.. Now it's very likely a move i will make,

Today this

Hurts Brandon Marshall?

Makes Rams D a good play?
Definitely makes the Rams def a good play. However with Marshall, he hasn't done much in weeks. Petty likes to sling the ball around. He's got moxy. I don't see that much of an impact on Marshall in my opinion. The biggest concern is the patchwork o-line. Clady is on the IR and now the Jets have a less than average RT filling in at LT. That doesn't bode well.

why does everyone think this is good for the rams D?  wouldn't this just make for a more conservative game plan for the Jets and less INT's w/o Fitz back there?  I see this as the opposite.  I don't know much about Petty, but can't imagine him having more INT's than Fitz.
