Bucs now trying to sign both Petitgout and Jordan Black (1 Viewer)

Looks like they are trying to gobble up what is left at OT...not saying their OL will suddenly be a world beater but anything is an improvement.

Black is a turnstile. He was part of the KC offensive line also known as Highway 65. What does it tell you when the Chiefs had no interest in signing the guy and they had a severe need at O-line?

Who knows...maybe a change of scenery will help him out. Good luck to Tampa Bay and you Caddy owners.

Hey Warpig, I changed the title to better reflect opinions from both sides of the aisle.

Neither is any good.
 Petitgout is a solid run blocker.
Says the "Cadillac" owner...what up FCP!!! ;)
Hey hey, MoP! The Caddy's gonna be revving the engine in '07!Available for Viewing:

2005 pewter and red Cadillac, currently garaged in Florida.

Original Tampa owner, low mileage, driven mostly on Sundays.

A few dings have been repaired and it's again good as new.

Tags good through 2009. Recent OL tune up and QB upgrade.

Additional accessories may be added April 29 to enhance performance.

Runs great, corners well. Should now do zero to 1,200 in 17 weeks.

This is a collector's item sure to increase in value in the coming years.

This Caddy is NOT FOR SALE. Will, however, trade for a Charger LT. :D

Very nice FCP. Your the 2nd owner of that "Cadillac" by the way...actually 3rd at this point.

Nah, I meant Tampa Bay is the original owner.

Petitgout is a decent tackle when healthy but I'd be hesitant to sign a tackle with recurring knee and back problems to a long-term contract.

FALSE START... NUMBER 77... OFFENSE

5 YARD PENALTY... REPEAT 1ST DOWN

Petitgout used to be one of my most unfavorite Giants. However, before he got hurt this year his performance was very very good. If he can stay on the field, it seems that he has finally matured into a productive good or even very good tackle. Not great but certainly above average.

IF he stays healthy.

That's why I hated him so much. But this past year he did not have this issue at all and really was quite solid all around before injury.

I think Petigout deservedly hit the doghouse for all the false starts. He seemed okay, but he's not liekly to be a big upgrade for any team with a decent OL. I'd look elsewhere.

...any team with a decent OL? We're talking about the Bucs here. He's been signed.

Rotoworld:

Bucs agreed to terms with left tackle Luke Petitgout. NFL.com's Adam Schefter reports the deal is worth $15.5 million over three years and includes a $3 million signing bonus.

Listening to Sirius NFL radio, there are a lot of Giants fans who are LIVID that the team cut Luke loose without trying to get something for him. And most of them wanted him to stay, at that.

The Bucs OL could look like this:

RT - Trueblood...huge and has potential to be a solid starter for years

RG - Davin Joseph...expected to anchor the line for the next decade

C - Newberry?

LG - Davis...moves from LT to LG, could also be Buenning

LT - Pettigout...better option than Davis at LT

This line is shaping up to be much better than '06.

Where does Kenyatta Walker play into this?

I believe he's gone.Depth will come from Beunning, Terry, Wade, Colmer...draft and FA acquisitions.

Seriously?? :goodposting: And you call yourself a Bucs fan??I do like the fact that they are taking more steps to improve the line. Even if the additions are not all stars. I expect Caddy to rebound next year, it's just too bad that there's already like 15 guys that are gonna finish top 5. Otherwise, he'd be in there too. lol

Any truth to the rumor that Looook was flagged for a false start immediately after agreeing to the deal??
