Buffalo Wild Wings (1 Viewer)

Spent $75.00 last night for chicken wings and fries. You can't order wings by number any longer. They come in sizes, snack, small, medium etc. Ridiculous. The place has become so robotic, and corporate. Won't be back. What a shame what greed has done to a once enjoyable place.

Christ on a cracker you pig, how many wings did you order?

Easy killer. I have a family of 5.

One opening ~ a mile from my house - I've never been to one but have heard they're great for catching the games. Lots of TV's right?

Yeah. Lots of TV's. $5.00 beers, and wings approaching $1.00 a piece. They used to be somewhat reasonable. I remember 10 cent wing Tuesdays, and $1.25 23oz beers in the 90's. My son had 9 wings, fries and an iced tea for $17.00. Absurd.

I like their habanero wings, but the wings themselves are way too small. went during the last march madness and at that time they didn't have different options for the size of the wings

the place is nothing special other than the TV's everywhere

I'm going to say fantasy sports and especially FF made this place a national success. However there are about three local spots that have a better beer selection & better food, & at least two that have all the games on at once too. The BWW here has a weird dishwater smell and the beer is over priced. I will say a Twin Peaks has opened up, they feature some mighty fine girls behind the bar.

I travel quite a bit and if you want to see a game(for me usually NHL or college hockey) every time I have walked in and asked they get the game up each and every time. No attitude like you get many times at the "local" place - where it seems like you are intruding on their time or the TV guru has no idea how to find hockey because you are in the South.

I've never had wings at BWW. Have never really gone there for a full meal. I do like their chicken quesadilla.

Yea. For sports they are WAY better (WAAAAAY better) than hooters or winghouse. Those ####ing places don't even turn the volume up. Food isn't great. I ate there for march madness last year and thought it was all oversauced, but whatever. If I want a good sports environment I usually expect to punt on great food.

Eat before you go. Only wings I had there were undercooked, but their hot sauces are definitely hot. Much hotter than expected. Way too expensive and not great.

I don't mind it.

Though, I live in a 60K person town where BW3 is literally the only place with the Sunday Ticket or more than 3 TVs. Shameful.

Yes, the wings are expensive, but that's not BW3's fault. Chicken wings are just expensive. I remember $0.25 wing nights (not old enough for $0.10), and that sort of expectation is nowhere near reasonable anymore.

I make a lot of wings at home. I buy big packs of whole wings to cut up myself and still end up spending $0.25 per wing.

Been there twice. For a place that specializes in wings, their wings leave a lot to be desired. Both times, they were rubbery and undercooked. I doubt I'll ever eat there again.

Family of 5 - Love the concept - hate the food and prices....great beers...wings were meh and overpriced....but the real horror show was getting food other than wings....we got nachos that were tostitos and cheese whiz...and a pulled pork sandwich that was putrid.....the pizza was barely edible as well.....however they gave the kids these hand held devices that they loved and wife and I were able to hang out in peace for 1 hr....kids huge fans....just based on that we'll be back! lol

These are my favorite wings. Lately, they've been slabbing on way too much sauce, though. Is that how people like them? Used to be they had enough sauce on them where they didn't sog down the wing. Now it's like getting wing soup. I've switched to their dry rubs, which are pretty awesome.

And as much as it pains me to say this, I agree with the OP. You can only order wings as small, medium or large. Or something like that. The problem is that small is like 6 wings and medium is like 15. You used to be able to get however many wings you wanted. They also got rid of the cajun seasoning for the buffalo chips. That stuff was awesome.

Wings are good, but way overpriced regardless of the place. The days of 10 cent or 25 cent wings are gone. Now it is a deal to get 75 cent wings which is rare to come by and not even worth the cost for that.

It's like a vortex of TVs. Better than a sportsbook.

The food sucks though.

Imagine if Applebee's had all the games on

Guess I'm lucky....PSA for all CLT area FBG.....Wing King will give you 10 wings and a basket of fries for $7. I think the wings alone are $6ish. Best wings in the area IMO.

I'm actually amazed they still have several locations in Buffalo. I'd expect them to be subpar anywhere, but in Buffalo? You can get better wings anywhere, besides the fast food joints. And let's be honest, those are not chicken wings. The people who are keeping this place in business in Buffalo should be ashamed. Atmosphere sucks, the wings suck, overpriced, the people who work there don't give a ####. Though not my 1st choice for wings, Quaker Steak & Lube is so much better than BWW. If you want a variety, it doesn't get better than their All You Can Eat buffet.

maybe a stupid question....but why has the cost of wings seemed to have gone up so dramatically....?

anyway....the mango habenero sauce is like crack for me....but I refuse to pay the prices at BWW

so we just buy the sauces and cook at home.....but I use regular chicken legs (drumsticks) and fry them up.....still get a bag of the wings too for the rest of the family....but I just fry up about 12-18 of the chicken legs for myself and dunk them in the MH sauce....leftovers for work or whatever......really no difference between a little chicken wing and a big drumstick...both chicken...so why not....plus bigger ones easier to eat and MUCH MUCH cheaper...

But how drunk did you get?

I take my sons and a group a friends to BWW once a month to watch the wrestling PPV. We're pretty tight with the waitresses, so we generally get more than usual when we order, plus they give us anything that was 'mis-ordered' from other tables, so we do well. Of course they usually get a 30-35% tip from us too. ;)

As for the food, I like it. I dig the chicken nachos, the wings and the chicken quesadilla. The burgers are passable, but not terrible.

Pretty sure the sizes are done by weight.....not number of wings.
No. They say on the menu (about 6 wings) or whatever. They haven't changed the size of the wings. They just changed how many you can buy.
But wing sizes do very, they are trying to keep their portion sizes universal.

Now done by weight.
Interesting. I stand corrected. They don't seem any bigger.

And on that same subject, I'm not a fan of bigger wings. I like the small ones opposed to the bigger ones some places have. Almost anytime I get bigger wings, I can count on at least two of them not being cooked fully.

I remember when gas was 65 cents a gallon in the 90s too.... and bread was a nickle a loaf in the 30s. Tell us more about this inflation thing, einstein.

This just in... chicken wings have become the most expensive part of the bird due to supply and demand. Been that way for a good 10-15 years now.

20 wings for he and his famly, and then he had 20 beers and drove his wife and kids home. What, you got a problem with that?

For the best thread in the history of the FFA. Search "best chicken wings recipes" and scroll through the awesome ways to do wings. I would link but I am on my ph. That thread kindof fits here.

The food taste good at wing king but the last two times I've eaten there I got sick. :X

Pretty terrible.

When wings is in the name of the restaurant, and I order wings, I'd like to see a healthier looking wing arrive at the table. The wings they use came off a teeange meth head chicken or something.

Shame you moved to Rock Vegas, there is a new over by Target. Agree with the comments though, it has turned into another corporate robotic hangout. Used to be great when they first came out. Was always a fan of the spicy garlic but it just wasn't hot enough so bumped up to the mango habanero and WOW! More than I bargained for but they were good.

You are correct on Wing King, love that place. Rarely go to BW3's anymore unless I have vendor footing the tab.

Which one do you go to?? There's a Wing Bonz out there now...apparently it's the guy who originally owned Wing King and sold to some other dude and opened another place....it's almost as good, but not quite.
