BUILDING FOR THE PLAYOFFS > Making moves (1 Viewer)

Okay so you're 3-1 or 4-0 and you're feeling good about your chances of coasting into the playoffs. What moves are you making now to set your team up to peak nicely in the weeks that really matter?

Who are you targeting?

Before the "It's too early". It's never too early. Some teams only have another 4-5 weeks before trade deadlines hit. Some guys are good "Buy Low" candidates now AND have great playoff schedules (double-whammy)....etc.

QB's to target for fantasy playoffs (14-16)

Kurt Warner--His value is down and he may not be healthy all season BUT he plays the 49ers and then the Lions and Rams.

Moreno/Buckhalter--If you're willing to keep him through the tougher games by the end of the season Moreno could be gold. He's getting better every week, CBuck is dinged up now, and Denver's defense is keeping them in games. Moreno gets the Colts, Raiders, and Eagles during the playoffs.

Benson gets the Chargers and Chiefs in Week 15 and 16. Wait till he's shut down by the Steelers for the 2nd time and then pounce on the owner who isn;t looking that far ahead.

WR's Teams to target based on SOS:

Arizona (SF / DEF / STL)

New Orleans (@ATL / DAL / TB) *

Seattle (@HOU / TB / @GB)

San Diego (@DAL / CIN / @TENN)

*- NO very well might rest guys week 16 due to having playoff position sewed up.

10 worst DEF vs the Pass (based on OPP Passer Rating:

Do teams generally rest players in week 16? Thought it was 17 they usually did that.

I think ALL Saints players are great buys. They play at home to close out the year, save for one game in the dome at Atlanta.

It's not unprecedented... Given the Giants are strong also I'd be surprised to see it, but it's just something to keep in mind.I'd like to add that week 15, New Orleans will be facing a likely hungry DAL team in the playoff hunt so they'll have to be moving the ball in the air. Week 16 could be a disappointment as they'll likely be pounding the ball out in the 2nd half versus a defeated TB squad.
