This is the latest in a series I will conduct in order to determine the "perfect" FFL experience. The results early polls will help guide future polls. Please vote as to how your perfect league would look.

Also feel free to post suggestions for future poll questions. (It is obvious what some of the future questions will be but there may be other issues that should be noted).

Based on the results of the Part 1 and Part 2 thread, (which can be found at http://forums.footba...1#entry15559548 and http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=681632&p=15579582 ), our perfect fantasy football league boasts the following;

12 FFL teams

PPR Scoring

Team Defenses / Special Teams

Auction

1 starting QB

Head-to-head format

Multiple flex positions

Decimal scoring

You may wish to keep those parameters in mind when voting.

ETA - Now that voting has finished, you can find the next poll at http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=681862

It will be after these votes that we will decide precisely how many flex options there will be. At this stage, all that has been determined is there will be a minimum of two.

My perfect league would only have 1 flex, but I voted for a minimum start 2RB, 3WR, and 1 TE. Even if I had 2 flex, I still would have 2RB, 3WR, and 1 TE. Starting 2-2-1 format would allow a team to start 4 RB and only 2 WRs and I think that's too unbalanced. I never liked a start 2RB, 2WR, and one flex at RB/WR, since it usually paid to start 3RBs, hence the beginning of drafts would be just a RB show. Flex spots allow for different strategies to be employed.

6 teams make the playoffs, regardless of 10,12,14, or 16 teams. Top 2 teams should always get a bye and should earn an advantage. Playoffs always start week 14 and end week 16.

My league uses multiple flex options with the following all acceptable (for RB/WR/TE only):

1RB/5WR/1TE (used about 9% of the time since 2010 season)

1RB/4WR/2TE (7%)

2RB/4WR/1TE (32%)

2RB/3WR/2TE (12%)

3RB/3WR/1TE (35%)

3RB/2WR/2TE (5%)

My league mates really like the flexibility allowed for the starting line-up, especially because injuries can decimate a team at one position. It always surprises me how often 2TE sets are used (about 24% of the time in my league).

My league has 8 playoff spots, but I would prefer it to be six, giving the top 2 seeds a bye. I proposed to reduce it a year or two ago, but it was voted down. Whatever.

I like that flexibility and will have it in my league. Whether I start the league this month or next year is the question.

I think it's important to define how teams qualify for the playoffs. If you're looking to make a great league, don't go with the standard division winners get a playoffs berth. FF leagues do this because the NFL does it but it rewards mediocrity. Give the top points scorer a playoffs spot or award playoffs berths based on overall records
