Bulger vs. Grossman (1 Viewer)

Grossman has an easier schedule, but more games in cold weather.

Bulger a more difficult schedule but a lot of games indoors or in warm weather.

I've seen a lot of threads on Grossman but hardly any on Bulger.

It's very hard to compare because we've hardly seen this side of Grossman (the studly one) and Bulger's whole offense is in a new scheme. Bulger obviously has the better track record, but I really, really like what I'm seeing out of him in the new offense. I haven't gotten to watch many Rams games, but he's the only QB who has yet to throw an interception (out of all QBs who started the season). In the offseason, Linehan said that Bulger was the "most accurate" QB he'd ever seen. The first couple of games were rough for the team as a whole. They were putting together lots of drives, but not converting in the red zone. That hasn't been as much of a problem lately, though. I'm a dynasty Bulger owner who shopped him for most of the offseason. Considering what I've seen so far adn what I'm expecting in the future, I think I'll be pulling him off the trading block.ETA: I'm not sure your comment on scheduling is all that correct either, or at least not a slam dunk. Chicago plays in the NFC North, but Minnesota's defense has looked pretty tough so far. That leaves Detroit and GB as the cupcakes. St. Louis has to face Seattle, who is certainly no pushover, but also gets 2 games vs SF and Arizona.

In all fairness, the only reason Bulger has yet to throw an interception is that the defenses he's been facing can't catch the ball. GB dropped (I think) 3 sure INTs last Sunday.

That's why I love the Shark Pool. If you haven't seen the games, somebody here has. Thanks for the info.

I have Bulger but do not get to see him much in NE OH. I'm curious how he looks in the new offense. Is he taking less hits than seasons past. I'm a little worried about his injury history.

IMO Bulger will have an edge fantasy wise on a weekly basis. With Grossmans easier schedule and their Def.the necessity to throw the ball an entire game won't be there.Plus if Chicago blows people out Grossman won't play 4 quarters. I know he was pulled in the 4th last week. IIRC I read he was pulled fairly early in the 4th. St. lois still seems to rely on the pass. They still seem to have a tendency air it out a good bit. Plus the diffence will give up points to better teams leavingthe necessity to toss the ball around.

At the end of the season Chicago will be a run 60% or more team due to the weather. Grossman will still have good games, but as another poster mentioned he could get pulled early in blowouts, especially as the playoffs loom.

I think both will continue to have strong seasons and I think both are top 10. I think barring injury Bulger has a better shot to finish top 5.
