Buy Low Candidates (2 Viewers)

I don't worry about "needing" to trade until near the deadline to either 1) get that last piece to compete or 2) Start building for next year.

In redraft, I am ok with overpaying to get a piece that I think makes my team better, but I am slow to assess what that piece may be until week 4 is complete. I feel like we know what we have at that point.

I think Tet is a great buy low right now. He hasn't blown up yet, the offense is still coming together. The talent is so obvious, the targets are there, and the metrics all line up. I think Bryce heats up and this connection is going to win leagues down the stretch. The last couple games he was missed a few times and it could've been a lot harder to get him.
I just am baffled by this take. Do you think anyone who drafted Tet is unhappy with his production so far? Because I think his value has risen since the draft, and absolutely nobody wants to sell, let alone give people a deal.

I think you mean "buy high" and hope he goes higher
If you just look at his fantasy points scored it is not extremely exciting. I know how I feel about him, and it seems like we likely agree with his ROS value. I posted this take because I actually traded for him this week. Sent Benson/H Henry for Tet/McBride. I value Tet/McBride extremely high ROS. From my perspective I "bought low" - I think if we fast forward 6 weeks he wouldn't make that trade. There are a lot of managers that just manage by the box score - I assume you aren't one of them. I view Tet top 15 ROS, but he is currently ranked WR31 in PPR. That to me is the definition of a buy low - he is a rookie, yet we've seen a lot of promising early signs. There hasn't been that big spike game that I believe is coming, so I see him as a buy from the right owner.

Evan Engram

Consensus preseason top 12-ranked TE can be obtained for peanuts

Payton's plans for him have not changed and his lack of production has been injury- and not performance-related

Injuries are minor (calf contusion, back) and he may even be in the lineup on MNF against Cincy. If he puts up decent numbers the window will be closed

Lot of underperforming WR1s
  • AJ Brown
  • Nico Collins
  • Drake London
  • Ladd McConkey
  • Brian Thomas Jr
First 4 should come around, right?

IDK what to think BTJ, his tape looks horrible
All 3 of my planned starting Wars are on this list and AJ Brown isn’t one of them. 🫤

Feels like all the guys have shown that they have the talent, but the larger question for a lot of them seems to be situational. For Collins, London and BTJ the offenses just haven’t been great. Are the passing offenses going to improve or not?

For Brown they just haven’t thrown the ball much until last week. Will the Eagles lean run all season making Brown more up and down?

And for McConkey the Chargers have been spreading the ball around a lot and Allen has been a bigger piece than expected. Can Allen stay healthy?

How are J.Jefferson owners feeling in re-draft?

I'm seeing experts still consistently rate him as a top 5 WR. However, he has been off to a slow start (WR2/3) and QB play is a big question mark. Additionally, after PIT this week he gets the Browns defense and then a BYE.

Should he be considered a sell high (i.e. he's managed enough production in the first few weeks to stay off the underperforming WR1 lists like BobbyLane's above, but his value could quickly decline with a Vikings dud in PIT) or a buy low (i.e. still believe he's QB-proof/QB play will improve and the slow start is an opportunity to snipe a player who would normally be untouchable)?

Just sent BTJr & Pickens for him. Will report back results.
Rejected. No counter. No explanation.

That team is 1-2 and their other starting WR is London.

Hope they lose til they quit.
1-2 isnt throw in the towel time. if the guy thinks he can still turn it around he may stand by his guys. I cant fault him for that.

hes choosing not to panic and make a trade hes not sure about. Thats all.
I've started seasons 1-5 and made the playoffs.

No time to panic at 1-2.
My favorite fantasy season ever was 2014, where I started 0-4, and then never lost again.

Sounds like you differ in opinion. What would either of you consider market value in redraft?

FWIW, he's not cracking many starting line-ups in my 10 team leagues.
I have started him every week in my 10 team league and am 3-0

Congrats on the record. Care to weigh in on an equitable trade offer for your league winning WR?
