Buy low on Sammy Watkins?? (1 Viewer)

12 team, IDP keeper. Start 1 RB/2 WR/1 TE/1 FLEX.

The owner in my league with Watkins is short on WR, and could use some help. I already have OBJ, Antonio Brown, Corey Coleman, D. Parker, White, Dorsett, Torrey Smith, and John Brown. Given that I don't need immediate WR help, and he does, should I offer him a combo of Dorsett and J. Brown for Watkins? This should give him more short term production with plenty of future potential, and I can sit on Watkins and wait for him to get healthy. Is this a fair deal for both sides?

I'm interested on the general opinion on Sammy also, have someone in my league wanting to trade him to me for Desean Jackson... Is he worth targeting?

Sorry this isn't an answer, but the little I can add is Brown is too inconsistent and Dorsett's value drops after a few weeks, IMO he would reject and grab waiver fodder to fill his temporary wr void

back up and review what's gone on with watkins.... off-season foot surgery... serious stuff.  After 1 game his foot bothers him enough that he cant even hide it on the field or sideline (limps around between plays).  His foot is not going to get better this season.  He had months to recover from the surgery and obviously he is not recovered yet (three DNP's this week).  I wouldnt touch watkins with a 10 ft pole this season

The guy said this is a keeper league so getting Watkins low as a play for the future (next year) might not be a bad deal.  I would float out something like the OP mentioned and see if he gets a bite.  It at least gauges how the Watkins owner values him.  I agree that Watkins is probably lost for this year but as a future play I think buying low is a good strategy with the WR's this guy has.
