Cadillac Williams Done For The Year (1 Viewer)

Cadillac Williams will miss the remainder of the season with a torn patellar tendon.

Williams will be placed on injured reserve and undergo surgery early in the week. He finished up with a 3.5 yards-per-carry average on the season, and had been in danger of losing work to both Earnest Graham and Michael Pittman before going down. The Bucs may not be willing to rely in Cadillac as a feature back in 2008 considering his propensity for getting hurt. Pittman will likely take over as Tampa Bay's starter now, and Graham will be in heavily involved. Rookie Kenneth Darby should be activated from the practice squad.

Time for a Graham/Pittman poll!!

Guess you'd gotta aim for Graham in TD heavy, Pittman in PPR heavy... or simply whichever is available, if either.

Sidenote, poor Caddy (and owners).

A Tear... Damn I feel so bad for 'em.. I have a feeling the bulk will go to Pittman. Just a hunch

Well, this pretty much means my season is over. Five different starters out for at least the next four weeks, two of those out for the season.

I agree about the poor Caddy comment. The frustration he and Deuce McAllister are going through must be insane (as well as others who have lost this season to injuries).

That'd be my guess too. Looks like a pretty even split in terms of carries with Pittman getting the third-down looks and Graham getting the goal-line looks. Makes it interesting to decide between the two.

think they are now positioning for McFadden?
I think Childress is hoping the VIkings end up with th #1 overall so he can get McFadden. Can you imagine running the wishbone with TJackson at QB and Taylor/AP/McFadden in the backfield? Now THAT would be a kick-### offense.

Waiting to hear what Steve Mann has to say
LoL.. Well as a Caddy Owner I will have a few choice thoughts. I was really bummed about it. The question is.. Pittman Or Graham. TD vs PPR, Good Vs. Evil, Lady Clinton Vs. Obama, David Carr Vs. Road Turd etc...I also created a poll in the Shark Tank.. I think everyone's opinion counts. I'd be very curious to see what the rest of you think. My vote again goes to Pittman. Go Vote and Help Caddy owners across the world.... :goodposting:

I went with Pittman. He's the vet and has the experience in the offense. He's proven to take the load for the whole game and is used to being spelled by a goal line vulture. Pittman should rack up the rush and receiving yardage with the occasional TD. Even in RBBC, I'll take Pittman over Graham.

Poor dude. Bad luck. Not sure what to do with him now.
I'm in a pseudo-dynasty league (we keep an extra player each year). I'm going to try and dump him for a late pick and a WR. I see this as a Dominick Davis (Williams) sort of situation. Now that he's injured, someone else will probably take his spot and he'll become an afterthought. He wasn't exactly the most reliable RB to begin with.

I think this quote is classless from rotoworld. Cadillac may or may not be the feature back in 2008, but now is not the time to rain on the guy and call him injury-prone. It was a freak injury. Here's to hoping he gets back into ball and rips it up.

Especially after suiting up to play with ribs that took a Samoan Missile in week 1.Even an iron man like Favre would get hurt on a play like that. Almost reminded me of McGahee in the Fiesta (?) Bowl.

Haven't seen too much of Graham but Pittman's been around a long time and never been able to hold down the #1 spot so I am not sure who is the better play. But definitely interested in hearing opinions as I have some RB moves to make. And knock on wood I changed Caddy for T Jones when I traded Bush away this week. Whew.

I added a poll in the Tank.. I'd be very curious to see what the consensus is...
