Caldwell and Wilson (1 Viewer)

I really think Reche Caldwell is in an excellent position to post good numbers, with Branch holding out and now gone and no experieced WR other than Brown. Nothing great, but I was expecting 1000 yards and 6 TDs.

Wilson was coming on at the end of last year and with Ward injured, I thought he'd be targeted a lot more 800 yards and 6 TDs with the supposedly opening up of the Pitts offense.

I was extremely surprised at the lack of production in week 1.

Was I in lala land thinking this, or will their production pick up?

I would rather have Gabriel than Caldwell in New England.

As for Wilson, after Ward and Miller, I'm not sure how much there will be left for him. Plus, Washington may work himself into the #2 role, and they drafted Holmes in the 1st, so they're going to want to get him on the field at some point.

I had caldwell as a sleeper. He seemed like he was going to be a stud in San Diego before he got hurt a couple years ago. I really dont know much about him, but I thought he could be a decent #3 later in the season. I'll give him a couple weeks before I drop him. I probably would use him as a bye week fill in at most.

I wouldn't get too excited about Wilson. From what it seems to me, the Steelers would ultimately prefer him in the slot role, and for some reason Bill Cowher seems to be obsessed with Nate Washington. Every game in the preseason featured at least one gadget play to Washington, so I'm guessing he'll fill in the more Randle-el type roll until Santonio is ready.

I still like Wilson. Batch probably has a better rapport with the 3-5 WRs. Wilson did get one target on a bomb to the end zone and I think his other target was a lengthy pass also.
