Can anyone explain why Housh is WR8 on Top 250 Forward? (1 Viewer)

Don't get me wrong, I love Housh, but how is he rated the #8 WR in the Top 250 forward? He's ranked above A Johnson, Plexiglass, DJax, and Roy. His remaining schedule can't be considered a cakewalk (CAR, ATL, BAL x2, SD, DEN, PITT) so what gives?

I like Housh and I think he has the chance to be top 10 this year. I don't think he needs a good schedule. In fact, the tougher the D the better coverage on Johnson and possibly more opportunities for Housh. The easier the D the more CJ gets the ball. IMO

Not looking to start a fight here. I apologize to the Mods if I've broken a rule. I've looked for a list of rules substantiating EdwardCat's claim but can't find one.

Just trying to get a read on what what Dodds is seeing that I don't.

He is leading most leagues in points per game played (missed the first two games and had a bye, so has only played in 2 games), and is averaging 90 yards and a TD.

Can you explain to me why you are violating the rules of the board by posting proprietary information?
Relax. Posting one ranking for discussion is ok around here.
It wasn't before.
:lmao: at a 5 digit member telling people what is ok.i don't think you know.
Not to turn this isn't a pissing contest, but I've been using these boards since 1999. I had a different username which I forgot because I didn't use the boards for a six month stretch in 2003. Regardless, get off your high horse.

He averages a lot of fantasy points/game.His injury "seems" to be over. His bye is over.He has a QB who will get him the ball. His team scores a lot.

I like Hous too but with all due repsect to his per games averages, I still think #8 is too high.

p.s. Hope I didn't break any rules with this post.

I find this discussion thrilling and all, but can someone actually answer the question that was originally posted? Housh at 8 seems crazy. There's got to be some reason for it though. I'm willing to given FBG the benefit of the doubt. But I'd like to know why?

I don't believe you.I'm sure the mods can find your old username if you give them any information about it (email used when you signed up, part of the name, etc.)

Mod already said it was cool so everyone stop witching :football: .

I can see Housh being #8 even with his schedule (and I don't own him - have Chad though). He's been consitantly thrown to on both deep and short passes. He's caught short balls and taken them the distance - good power, moves and speed ala a smaller bolden. That and with Henry out at least 2 more weeks (my opinion it will be more because he's a total loser), he's going to be targeted as much or more than he has been.

There's some hopefully logical discussion for you.

Mud out

I think he is a solid WR who puts up nice points each week he plays

I hope this didn't break any rules, mods let me know if I need to delete

Thanks Mud. I know this is based on subjective projections but I'm still alarmed that the almighty Dodds ranked him above Johnson, DJax, Roy, and Driver.

 I guess you are just a bigger dork :nerd: than everyone elseI agree with Housh's ranking. So far he has been one of the most productive 2WR out there. I believe he should be ahead of Wayne even. Alot of uncertainty with players below him such as injuries (Roy, Driver Coles, Ward)...etc

Why don't we lets the mods do the moderating?
Egg Zachary!Too many people on these boards act like they are the policeand like they are SOOOOOO inconvenienced by posts that might not follow the letter of the rulesrelax and chilltry to encourage interaction from newer members dont try to act like they are the new kid in school that you are trying to keep outta your clique

True. Of course, at the same time, Charlie Batch is also the #2 QB in points per game in one of my leagues (sandwiched right between McNabb and Manning). Then, of course, there's Stallworth... who even with his bomb in week 4 is the #4 WR in my league in points per game. I'm also reminded that, after 2 games, Lee Evans was something like the 80th WR in that league, too.Two games does not a representative sample make.

I didn't know people were still referring to members' #s around here. That's a shame. Most boards nowadays don't have member #s. It's nice to remind myself every so often why I've blocked bagger. :P

It has always been acceptable. You won't find one instance where it wasn't allowed to post a singular ranking for discussion.
What if 250 members all post one ranking?
That crack made me laugh after a crap day...kudos.Back on topic...Hush is a must start every week and I don't see too many guys behind him that I would start over him. My guess is the FBG staff thinks the Bengals offense is going to catch fire and the chances of Henry poaching yards and TDs from Hush is being diminished by the week.

every week the Top 250 FWD comes out, and every week there are posts in the shark pool looking for insight on many of the rankings.

two things:

1) with the staff obviously monitoring the msg boards, why don't they ever chime in to offer support for their rankings, or if not support then provide the method by which they arrive at them (group avg, one guy's opinion, etc)??

2) who cares??? it's a "generally accepted" tool. if you're following FBGs to the letter, i'm betting my overworked liver that you're at or around .500 year in and year out, because you don't have the confidence to follow your own intuition, if you have any at all. and these are general comments, not directed at the original poster or anyone else. if you disagree with a ranking, then go with your gut. if you don't have the sack to go with your gut, you're probably losing your league anyway and if i knew what that pointing shirt icon meant i'd probably put it here:

I was a Chad Johnson owner last year and as the year went on watching the games towards the end of the year I definitely felt like it had morphed into a 1a and 1b situation fantasy wise. That is not to say that Housh is as good a WR, but fantasy wise it seemed like he basically was. Because he was scoring as much as Chad, and getting as many opportunities if not more - probably because the D's are focusing on Chad.

So going into this year, while I certainly didn't expect Chad to start this poorly, I did expect Housh to come close to Chad in production.

I don't know if there is a smilie I like less than the "Owned" one. I don't think that is promoting the "be excellent to each other mantra"?

Hopping of the soapbox now.

I don't know about you, but I'm not going to stop subscribing simply because someone posted a small portion of their content one week. The 250 Forward is good, but it's a minor cog in the information they provide, and all of this stuff is so volatile anyway. I'm not going to try to tell the FBG staff how to run their business, but I think they realize that as well.

Bagger...why would you bump this when it makes you look bad? You claimed that a 5-digit member didn't know what he was talking because he was a 5-digit member, yet Shick! confirmed that DevilintheDetail was correct.MelvinTScupper...you may want to brush up on your reading comprehension skills.Let's let this thread die, please? Of the 46 total replies maybe 8 are relevant.
