Got #7, anyone else? Thoughts, strategies...? Looking like RB is a must but missing out on the top guys. Richardson, Rice, McCoy, Spiller? What are we going to do?
Should probably take Manning to fill in your bye week in the 2nd round as well. Then probably load up on defenses after that.Got to go Brees there. No question.
Thanks guy. You have blog or something so I can keep up with all of your tips to win. Really want to win this year.steveski said:Should probably take Manning to fill in your bye week in the 2nd round as well. Then probably load up on defenses after that.Got to go Brees there. No question.
Not sure if you have a sarcasm detector or not. If not, then no I don't have a blog, but I'll send you an invite to my league and follow up with a PM with all my super big sleepers this year. Thanks guy. this is what i found too. i'm happiest with my team when i go RB-RB, but everyone once in a while graham will fall to me in the second; then there's a real decision because passing on a RB in the 2nd means hoping that bush/mcfadden/miller will still be there in the 3rd.. i'm not comfortable grabbing a WR in the second, even if dez/marshall/green are available because i feel like the WR pool is deep this year. i also always try to snag vareen in the 4th or 5th if a receiver i really like isn't there, even though that leaves me thin at WR. i'm high on vareen and it's a little of a reach, but he's usually gone by the 5th. qb is usually luck or romo in 7th/8th. BPA from there. good luck.I drew the 7th pick for my long time fantasy league, and have done many mocks from that position. Obviously you take the RB of your choice at that position, the question is more about the 2nd round pick and how that dictates the rest of your drafts. I found I am happiest with my team by going RB-RB. The talent falls off so quickly at that position, and QB and WR are so deep.
It becomes intriguing if you have Aaron Rogers/Dez Bryant/AJ Green/Jimmy Graham staring you in the face, however. A lot depends on your league. If it is not full of sharks and you think that a RB like Reggie Bush/Frank Gore/DeMarco Murray/Lamar Miller could fall to the 3rd round pick, it could really pay off. When the draft is live, though, and people start to panic when RB becomes super thin, they will reach a little early for some players allowing lots of talented players at WR to be available in rounds 3 and 4. I just feel more comfortable with a scenario like: Ray Rice-MJD-Roddy White over, say, Ray Rice-Julio Jones-David Wilson.
Very Good point about round two.Our league does a draft 1-12 where #1 gets to pick his draft spot, and so on. I has the 3rd pick so I choose #7. My reasoning was I'll still be able to get a #1 RB. After AP a lot of the guys can really be a crap shoot. Non PPR league id say
Foster
martin
lynch
rice
spiller
T-rich
Charles
McCoy... So unless a few guys get hurt in pre season then you'll be able to grab one of the top guys, and not have to worry about messing up on one of your picks. The real reason why I choose 7 was for the guy coming back.. I'm targeting a RB so maybe S-jax, Morris, or how your league works Ridley will still be there. You may also still be able to get an Elite WR like dez, AJ, marshall, TE in Graham or you can grab brees or Rodgers. Endless possibilities and the guy you grab at #7 isn't really going to be any different than the guy at #3 but in the 2nd the guy you get could be better than the guy 3 is takiing
