Can the Vikings Exploit Upcoming Passing Matchups? (1 Viewer)

Is it even worth contemplating the thought that the Vikes will be able to exploit these cream-puff passing Ds while keeping Gus Frerotte in one piece? Will he continue to put up big numbers down the stretch? Will he even make it 10 more games?

In our league, QBs have gotten scarce and seeking favorable matchups among several low ranked QBs is becoming the only option. Between Frerotte, JT O'Sullivan, and Carson Palmer (we'll continue to ignore Jamarcus Russell for now)... there's (seemingly) easy matchups to be had almost every week.

But the thought of having to pick among three unpredictable players each week makes my stomach hurt. Also I need to hold three roster spots... anyone else taken this approach?

Vikings remaining Schedule w/ Opp. Ds Rank against the Pass

W7 Chicago 24th

W8 BYE

W9 Houston 12th

W11 TB 22nd

The above sentences are confusing. I think you are asking whether Frerotte is a good start, and I would say no unless you are in a very large league. Minnesota will pound the ground against Detroit. I can see them having to air it out against Chicago, but I also see the potential for a multi-turnover game. I would much prefer to start O'Sullivan and even Palmer over Frerotte.

After ADP's less-than-stellar performance on MNF, I would think the overwhelming goal for MIN at DET is to pound the ball with Peterson and get him back on track. However, this might lead to a few opportunities down the field for Berrian (if healthy) if the Lions try to put eight (or more) in the box.

But I wouldn't expect anything like 250/2 from Frerotte on any given day. Even against DET.
