this seems to becoming even more of a thing.
My last job, the first year I started I sat in a cube between two people who would talk to each other on speaker. It was like a bad joke on a cheesy sitcom.
Holy crap. That last sentence fried my brain. Like I couldn't figure out how the actual saying went.
I always wonder what goes through their heads the times it causes an issue. Yesterday a guy in his truck with his dog in the back seat was doing this. There was a woman walking her dog. I was coming from the north and another car was coming from the south. So of course the two dogs freak out at each other so neither car can actually go. Eventually the woman on foot gets her dog far enough up the street and then I wave the other car on and then I go.
Sort of along the same line... my wife is trying to leave our subdivision. Worker dude in a truck is sitting at the stop sign texting. My wife waits a bit then honks. He rolls down his window and yells "I'm doing something!" Seriously, what sort of jack-hole thinks it is ok to simply block the road while he texts rather than pulling off to the side? I am truly amazed by the self-centered lack of awareness displayed by people nowadays. And in his company's truck no less. Nice advertising dillwad.
Holy crap. I just had almost the exact same thing happen to me yesterday at lunch.
I would have called that company for the vehicle he was driving. Told them what he did then add some extra stuff in there that he didnt do to hopefully get him in trouble. Cant stand that bull.
Yeah... this guy driving your company truck was parked at a stop sign blocking traffic. He was smoking a joint, drinking out of a bottle of Jack and whacking it while facetiming somebody. I honked and that obviously pissed him off because he flipped me off and then "finished" on my windshield.irish eyes said:
Occasionally guilty of this. But there's hardly ever any traffic at all on my street, so I'm not bugging anyone. And if there's snow on the driveway but I can walk directly into the house from the garage, that's an easy choice.
Something about T-intersections just turn people into mindless mush. I unfortunately drive through 3 of them twice a day. See the same things over and over.
But it's true! The next time I see two other cars on my street at the same time that I'm driving on it will be the first time in the twelve years I've lived here.
It is mostly an issue in the winter when it gets dark just after lunchtime in wisconsin. You turn a corner and have headlights coming at you and you have to hit the brakes and try and figure out wtf is going on.
And I've never even thought to be annoyed by someone else doing this if all it means is I have to move over a bit while passing them.
Makes sense. I was just trying to understand if the pet peeve was one of those "that person is doing something I consider lazy, so it makes me mad" kind that don't make much sense to me. It's a different story when it inconveniences others.
Don't try and be nice, just follow the rules of the road and things will go smoother.
Totally agree with this. I always pull off to the far side of the lot, so I can watch for her coming out of the place and in can swoop back to grab her and go.
