Bucs will keep roster spot open for Plum... Published Tue Jun 19 1:39:00 p.m. ET 2007

(Rotoworld) Jon Gruden said they will keep a roster spot open for Jake Plummer for a little while longer.

Impact: Plummer seems set on retiring and isn't at Bucs minicamp. Jeff Garcia wouldn't worry about it if Plummer showed. "That's fine. If he wants to come, he can come and sit on the bench with the others."

if this is true ..... nice!!

Jeff Garcia has a big mouth for a fella that's played about 6 decent football games in the last 3 seasons, couldn't keep a job in two QB starved towns, and will be settling in behind one of the NFC's most porous offensive lines. Good luck Jeffrey.

Go Jeff! Seems pretty tough for a gay guy (joke, plz don't turn this small joke into some big deal about whether or not gay guys can be tough)

What do you expect him to say? "Well, It was fun attempting to win the starting job while I had a chance, but now that Jake is here I will just go stand over there with a clipboard."

I have no problem with what Garcia said. After all, it's only Jake Plummer. I imagine Gruden would want to hear his starting quarterback say something like that. Besides, Garcia's had a chip on his shoulder pretty much his entire career, so it's not surprising for him to say something like that.

Jeff Garthia is just acting up because he is putting Chris Simms and the Gardkowski to shame right now. I bet he thinks he's superman right about now.

Yup. He also ran TO out of San Francisco with that chip on his shoulder.

 I'm sure TO would disagree.

What did people expect him to say, "Well, the job is his, all he has to do is say the word and I'll step aside."
No but Garcia is more media savy than that.Something like.."I think Jake Plummer can be a sold addition to the Bucs and I look forward to working with him. I think he brings with him a certain veteran experience that is so important in the NFL."would have been more appropriate.Basically it is media BS. This is the way 99.9% of all players and coaches talk to the media except when it is in their own self interest.

Beats the nonsense that comes out of most athletes pieholes. If Tampa doesn't win this season Gruden is probably gone. If I'm him I'd love to hear Garcia that confident.

Valid point, but those two teams were extremely bad when he was there. Guys like Manning would have struggled on both of those teams.

How about something like "Of course we'd like to have Jake here...anything can happen in the NFL and depth is very important - especially at QB. He would really help make us a better team." but then Garcia is a complete D-bag. He rivals Freddie Mitchel for the title of "player with an ego infinitely greater than his talent"

unlike Mitchell, he has actually accomplished something in the NFL . . .

Consider that the way Plummer handled getting replaced is different than how Garcia has.

Garcia looks for the next opportunity to be a starter and has been willing to earn it.

Plummer is still pouting somewhere when he could be playing.

If I were Gruden and had both in camp on time, I might give aa 60/40 edge to Plummer based on possibility of starting for more than one season and mentoring future franchise QB yet to be drafted.

But NO...

Garcia just has more respect for guys that, ummm, "step up".

Plummer wishes he had one season that was 75% as good as any of Garcias top three seasons. I'd take Garcia over Plummer without a second thought.

No one ever says that. Comparing Garcia and Mitchell is like comparing apples and yield signs. Garcia is cocky and as a Bucs fan I like to see that.

Jeesh you guys, gimme a break with the 19th century groupthink...
She even advertises "Instant Access."
Fake b00bs :lmao:
OK upon further review, they may not be fake. Maybe she's just wearing some weird, push-up bra or something. Anyway, she does have a weird Michael Jackson nose.
They are fake and they are glorious.
