Cano for Marcum (1 Viewer)

I have Cano but not playing him at all because I like Lopez from the Mariners better.....I need some help in the pitching stats, what do you think about trading Cano for Shaun Marcum?

Other possibilities I could get for Cano is:

Saunders(LAA)

Myers

Shields

Possibly Oswalt

Give me some feedback,I'm ready to make a deal by the end of week....Thanks!

Ugh sounds like youre selling low on Cano and the other dude is selling high on Marcum. I own Marcum and Id deal him in a NY heartbeat for Cano. I wouldnt take any of those pitchers for Cano except for maybe Oswalt.

If you can afford not to do it, I'd go that route. Maybe for Oswalt. I mean Marcum's not bad, but he's young and it's early. Cano hit .342 two years ago - he's going to hit. And Lopez fell off the planet in the second half last year, so...

i'm not a big cano fan and i think you'd be happy in the end with a cano-shields swap, but you could do better. if that guy wants cano, i'd ask for shields plus something else of value. if that won't get it done, i'd wait until cano heats up or look elsewhere.

even though i don't like cano, i would not even consider giving him up for marcum, oswalt, or myers. there are just too many yankee fans out there to sell low on cano.

oh, and i woudn't go gettting excited about lopez in my starting lineup. i'd look for someone who thinks he's buying low on cano, take his 2B and a pretty good pitcher. if someone was willing to give you a howie kendrick and a james shields for cano, i'd jump all over it. there's a ton of 2B that i'd take along with a decent SP for cano. i'd look for that kind of deal.

To me you have a nice setup now. When Cano starts hitting Lopez should be about out of hits for the year. I think Lopez is a Nady-lite and gets most of his hits early in the year. Just going from memory here, so I could be wrong.

Here is my team.....Felipe Lopez has also been playing well @ 2nd since getting that job and he's leadoff batter.....I just think I have some room to work @ 2nd between the 2 Lopez's if I trade Cano

I think I'd make a move for Marcum or Shields....hell maybe package something else with Cano for both of them.

How many teams in this league and is it a keeper? I'm hoping you say 16+ and no.

it is a 16 team league and it is a keeper league........why did you say this "I'm hoping you say 16+ and no."?

Actually, the keeper part doesn't matter, you have some good players in that regard. If you said it was a 12 team league I really would not like your team one bit. With 16 it's ok though. How have you been doing this year and in the past?Being a keeper league, depending on how many you keep every year and other keeper rules, I'm not sure this is the proper time to trade Cano.

I agree with this almost totally. Almost because you REALLY need some pitching.

I'm undefeated in our league and winning again this week...my offense is fine,my pitching loses every week(except for era and saves) This is my 1st year playing fantasy baseballI do believe Cano will heat up but that doesnt change the fact that I need to improve my pitching

You can't trade Cano in a keeper league for one of those pitchers. You're crazy. If he was batting .300 with a bunch of doubles and RBIs like he should be would you be shopping him for Marcum?...probably not. Wait for him to heat up and get value for him if you don't need him right now. What's the rush, you're undefeated right?

Beat me back in. I think he has to hold tight right now.I'm still a little suprised that this staff is so weak, and that he's winning ERA every week. I have better staffs in 20 team leagues where I still have good hitting. Would be interesting to see this waiver wire for pitching.

I'll have to say, thats a great point....guess I'm just impatient and trying to prevent that first loss from happening....When I do lose it will be because of my pitching as I never win in S-Outs,Wins or lossesI feel good about Wainwright but all of my other pitchers are not helping me out too much....westbrook was doing well b4 his injury and surprising,Padilla is pretty damn awesome right now but I feel like I need 2 more good pitchers to throw into my rotation to have a team that will be very hard to beat

The guy you should be shopping is Padilla. Once the Texas summer starts, look out belowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

CANO IS STARTING TO HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hot streak coming!
:hot: Cano will rebound just fine and when he does someone with deep pitching will be more than happy to dish at least one quality starter. Cano, when he's running good is worth a top tier pitcher. The weather is warming and so will Cano. Wait it out.

So I gather it is head to head. Is there an innings min? If your hitting is good and you have decent closers, could you try to just win Saves, ERA, Losses on the pitching side by going with less starters and grabbing some middle relief studs?Just a thought. No point to just keep throwing starters out if you are losing Wins and Ks anyway. Might as well win Losses.
