Snelling did impress me this year with his inside/outside/receiving/blocking versatility a la a young Sammy Morris. Michael Turner's handcuff might be tough pin down between Snelling and Norwood both possibly on the move, but it sounds like you will be rewarded if you own Snelling either way. I just dealt Deion Branch for him in a PPR league that I owned Turner, and I dealt him for a 2011 4th in a 16 team Deep IDP dynasty league - looks like I might regret the second one.

I don't think Sproles is back in SD without a long-term deal, and I don't think SD is inclined to give Sproles that contract. Because they franchised him last year, and the tender has to be 10% more than the previous year's salary, I dont think SD can reasonably protect Sproles rights. But yes, Snelling's versatility would be a nice fit in SD, although Hester and Tolbert also have similar profiles.

SD already has a Snelling in Mike Tolbert.

Personally I don't see a whole lot coming from snelling unless he gets dealt because the coaches seem to love norwood. At best he could become atlanta's version of tashard choice

My biggest issue with Snelling has nothing really to do with his skills per se, but it seems like over the last handful of years when a FB type showed something as a runner (Hillis, McClain) etc. they never get a chance to the pure goalline options or the power part of a committee. Since I still have him in a couple of leagues, I am trying guage how tightly should I hold him versus ship him off to basically clear a roster spot.

What gives you that impression? I don't see it that way at all. When they had the choice, Snelling got the majority of the carries.

I think Snelling is a little overrated to be honest.... I don't think he is anything more than a good handcuff as an NFL and fantasy RB. He needs everything to go right to be fantasy relevant. Watching him he looks exactly what he is an average RB at best.
