Looking forward to seeing Leinart, Maroney and NE WR depth.

Some key third down conversions lead to a Goestkowski FG on NE's first drive...Warner taking field.

Not a good series there.3rd and 14 looks like they were trying a dump off to Edge except Edge didnt realize it.

Its only preseason, but, that oline is looking terrible. Warner will need more time if he's going to last for more than 3 games. Edge is probably like... I'm uh... not used to this.

He just took a screen off the face mask.

Maroney with a sweet 12 yard rush...this kid's going to be a beast.

Caldwell/Watson with 2 receptions a piece.

Brady with a sweet pass o Childress.

just turned this on, saw Reche look winded looked up and saw 1st quarter 2:50 left. Geesh

Nice catch by Bam

Dillon and Faulk the only two backs on the first series. Maroney on the sidelines appeared to mouth "come on" when Dillon got called out and Faulk went in on a third and short. The Pats went five wide, threw to Faulk, and got the first down.

Watson had a nice catch and run on the sideline. He caught the ball on a bad angle and looked to be forced out of bounds by the defender who had a great angle on him, but he tiptoed the sidelines and got the most yards he probably could. The announcers commented that that's the kind of play that will get him more playing time, and I agree.

Tully Banta-Cain with two big plays early in the first defensive drive. They sent a lot of pressure against Warner and were successful, forcing a fumble, forcing Warner out of the pocket, getting a sack, and penning Edgerrin in.

Second series, Maroney with a 12 yard carry on second and long. He puts a shoulder into a defender and looked very strong. Next series, he stayed in in protection against a safety while Brady completed a long pass. It wasn't a physical block, he just got in the way and stayed in position, but it looked good.

Wow, Maroney looked great on that run

He is the real deal folks.....and I got him in a keeper league with the 5th rounder this year

:banned:

PS: But I have Carson Palmer, Shaun Alexander, Marvin Harrison, Maroney and Jamal Lewis

Who will I keep next year if I have to choose 3 out of these if Maroney is the real deal....

BF, announcers just said "as many times as tom brady has been knocked down on this drive"

Who gets the blame?

Ummm... may want to get through this year first chief. :)Anyway, Maroney does look good. Another series like that and he's going to cost more to get.

Goestkowski with 37 and 33 yard field goals. His first kickoff went two yards deep into the endzone, although JJ Arrington had a surpisingly nice return. The second kickoff also looked decent, but both were returnable.

Warner throws into double coverage and gets picked...which is cool because now we get to see maroney run all over the arizona D again.

What defensive alignment are the Patriots using? Still hybrid 3-4 4-3?? I heard they may use 4-3 D more often this year because of personel.

Tom Brady is such an awesome QB. He knows how to hit the open receiver. I think Ben Watson may be a top 3 TE this year cuz Brady has to have 1 guy seeing alot of targets and I think that guy is Watson.

Dillon looks tentative. Maroney looks explosive.
last run the blocking stunk but otherwise I agree
Expanding on this thought, Dillon slammed on the brakes in the backfield on at least three of this carries. Not hitting the hole hard.
Graham just held off his guy, if Dillon slammed thru there'd be no question of a TD on that run.BTW We really need to keep Graham on the field alot even with Watson being a bigger focal point of the O.

So it is RBBC this year. Looks like they are going to split carries and there will not be a primary back????
