Carolina at Atlanta (1 Viewer)

Don't think anything really has changed with the defense, if Newton hits guys in stride, they would have had some huge gains and probably put a score or two on the board already.

That fistful of jersey on the Hixon pass probably shoulda been def holding instead of PI.

He was grabbing it for a long time.

Once the ball is in the air, it is PI. Maybe it started before, but the ref probably didn't see it in that case until the ball was in the air.

I don't know how Falcon fans do it. I'm rooting for them simply out of wanting the Saints to get a home playoff game and I can't believe how awful they are. At home no less.

That's why it's PI. If he had let go it would have been a hold but since he kept holding on to the point he kept interfering with the chance to catch the pass it would seem like the right call.

 Because we are fans and not front runners? Were you not a fan in 2005?

Hell, this is still better than the Petrino quit year.
Oh no, I hate the Falcons. Wouldn't have an interest in this game at all if it didn't affect the Saints position.

I just thought they might have a little bit of heart in Gonzo's retirement game. Or as a hat tip to the fans. Or something. They just look limp today.

They have to fix the offensive line before anything else. They're horrendous, especially the guards.

Meant a fan of the Saints in 2005 when they went 3-13. By the fact you are unsure how a fan base goes through a bad year, I'd guess no since anyone who has gone through it would seem to know.

Guess you missed the first quarter then, showed plenty of heart and came out on fire. Just not able to take them 60 minutes and the fact the Panthers are a better team caught up with them.

I like them coming out with a little fire in the second half. Let's see if they can keep this up

NFL.com showing Falcons with over 300 yards b/c of this error. The big loss play is being reported as follows:

1-10-ATL 27 (:31) (Shotgun) M.Ryan Aborted. [] FUMBLES at ATL 27, recovered by ATL-J.Snelling at ATL 27. J.Snelling to ATL 27 for no gain (D.Florence).
Let's see if/when they correct it.

Congrats to the Panthers and their fans, great job to grab a bye and division title this year. Wish Gonzo could have went out with a win but just wasn't able to beat a tough team to make it happen.
