The Carson Palmer watch is back in full effect.

The Bengals quarterback was not on the field for the start of practice on Friday, the lone day he was expected to participate fully this week.

Palmer went on the field at Paul Brown Stadium on Friday after 20 minutes and immediately had ice applied and wrapped to his sore right elbow.

Palmer intially injured the game elbow in the Sept. 21 game at the New York Giants and sat out the next week's game on Sept. 28 against the Cleveland Browns.

Palmer started and played the entire game last week at Dallas. but had limited participation in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, taking part only in the running game part of the gameplan and not throwing on those two days. He was schedule to throw on Friday.

Earlier this week, Palmer said his elbow was fine and he expected to play.
