Casual Sport Jacket - Store Recommendation (1 Viewer)

My wedding is going to be a fairly casual affair, but I want to wear some kind of a sport jacket. I know nothing about clothes, so where would be some good stores to go check this out?

Something sort of this ilk, style-wise, though not really set: http://www.amazon.com/H2H-Casual-Button-Cotton-Jackets/dp/B00DILVC6E
:X

Don't do that to yourself...

Agree with Matsuki on Nordstrom... Try Nordstrom Off the Rack for discounted stuff or Neiman Marcus Last Call for other discount stuff that will be nice.

Macy's wouldn't be a bad place, although be careful as most of the employees that work the men's dept. are fairly clueless.

If you want to go on the high end, Alton Lane is amazing... They'll custom fit it and make it fresh for you, although the starting price is $450, so this might not be for you if you're only wearing it once.

Congrats on retiring your penis the wedding

I wouldn't even worry about the store/label/whatever. Just find a place in your budget, find a solid color that complements whatever else you're wearing (light gray or charcoal would be hard to mess up) and save $50 or whatever for good tailoring.

It's not that I really care what store it's from, I just literally don't know where to go to check out things in this style. and your Larry David pic from earlier is pretty good, because I wouldn't mind getting something like what LD wears. I would like it to be something that I would wear again, even in casual settings.

You won't have an issue finding a stylish sportcoat/blazer in virtually any department store you would walk into. Basically if you find shoulder pads, run.

Post a link to the directory of your nearest mall and we'll tell you where and where not to go. Considering you have three weeks, you shouldn't be buying online.

I have an idea. How about the FFA picks the jacket and we pay for it as a wedding gift. I will pledge the first $50. Anyone else?

Boss and Brooks Brothers will be your most expensive on this list (the dept. stores will have a huge variety in price)... Sign up on BananaRepublic.com for updates with an email address you don't use that often. They send out emails with 40% off at least 2-3x a week. You should be able to apply it to a lot of their stuff (excluding their monogram collection) and get something that meets your needs for $100-$150. Take it to the tailor and you're set.

In for another $25, need pictures though. I like the green one with the Batman cane.
