CBS Automated draft (1 Viewer)

So, I'm looking around my cbs sportsline league site and i find out that less than 1% of CBS customers use the automated draft? Could that be true? We use it for my leagues' draft and we all love it.

By "automated draft" are you referring to allowing the site to draft everyone's team for them? Because if so I'm not sure why you would be shocked that very few leagues do it that way?

Went to CBS to see what the automated draft is:

Automated Draft (Players will be automatically drafted based on managers' player ratings)

Sounds fun - not sure why many leagues wouldn't want to let CBS pick all of their teams for them instead of....you know....actually having a draft.

I understand that live drafting is the preferred method but i am surprised to learn that so few use the computer generation. Are there any one percenters reading this?

I understand that live drafting is the preferred method but i am surprised to learn that so few use the computer generation. Are there any one percenters reading this?

If you can’t get everyone together - either live or virtually - for a few hours, why wouldn’t you just chose the slow draft (over multiple days) option instead of autodraft? I guess if my only choice was no league at all or autodraft, I’d chose autodraft but that’s taking away the best event of the season.

I mean, I can understand if one guy can’t make it and his team is autodrafted, I’ve had to do that and tooled the lists accordingly. Basically guys I really want I move up ahead of their adp which isn’t great, and guys I don’t want I move way down where they’ll be gone before the computer picks them on my team. But setting up the league for an autodraft doesn’t seem like a league I’d want to play in. I don’t even like the fact that they have a comprehensive list for people who have no knowledge or have done any research. I’d much rather make the picks based on who is available in the moment.
