Joined a league with a draft date of April 5th. As per CBS Sportsline rules, and I quote:

"After you become a Registered User, you may sign up and join a league anytime up to 11:59:59 PM ET on 7/20/2010. All leagues are required to have 10 participants, or team "owners." Opening day of the MLB season is set for 4/4/2010. In order for your league's season to start with opening day of the MLB season, you must sign up by 11:59 PM ET on 4/2/2010 and your draft must be started by 11:59 pm ET on 4/3/2010. There will be no drafts held on opening day, 4/4/2010. For drafts held after 4/4/2010, the league's start date will be the first Monday after your draft. Note that if your league's draft is held on a Monday, the draft must be completed by 12:00 Noon ET or your league's season will begin the following Monday. Stats from prior weeks will not count in your league. ""

Clearly the stats from the first week of baseball do not count, so I decide to not follow this league very well the first week of the year.

I sign on today and see that they have been counting and the following transpires:

Me: "However, when I go to league standings, the first scoring period is included in those standings. I know it's only the second week of the year, but I wanted to know if there is a way to show standings going forward while excluding week 1 statistics.

Thank you "

Them: "It appears that this issue has been resolved. Please verify that this issue has been resolved and is no longer affecting your league. We apologize for any inconvenience the delay may have caused."

(note, nothing has been changed)

Me: "I'm sorry, but I just logged onto the league site, and this problem still has not been resolved - roughly 90 minutes after you have stated it has. My league is still accruing stats from the first scoring period for overall standings placement. In case you need my league name it is "CBS Spotsline SUCKS". Please advise at your earliest convenience. Thanks. "

Them: "I apologize, but the rules were listed incorrectly, as it was referring to weekly leagues. The following paragraph has been added to the Official Rules: For Daily League drafts held after 4/4/2010, the league's start date will be the day after your draft. Stats from prior days will not count in your league. "

Me :wall: :wall: :wall: wtf do I deal with this organization, they decide to change the rules AFTER the fact.

Now I'm kinda stuck because I want a refund, but my team is really good and I like action.

thanks for letting me vent

I am new to FB, but have been playing FF for years, and used CBS for one league I am in for football. Good to see their "quality" is consistent across the board.

Total BS on their part, but I think the rest of the season will make up for your experience.

Sportsline is hands down my favorite fantasy baseball management site on the internet. I was exclusive to them the last 3 years.

The NFBC is a complete joke, Fantasy Baseball is my absolute passion and favorite thing in the world, but I can't even get into it this season because of what a joke fanball's set up is. I'm paying more attention to the free league I signed up for on sportsline for kicks.

Yahoo I would put in the middle.

I played in a FF league on sportsline last season and that was a terrible experience, but nothing beats it for baseball in my opinion.

You have no experience with ESPN? My league has been using ESPN for the last few years (ever since it became free to use anyway) and we haven't had any problems. Though our league has pretty standard rules, don't know how good it would be if you're league uses special rules or something.

No, I've never used ESPN for any fantasy sports. Maybe I'll give it a whirl next season or a late start this season. Not into any special rules, just straight 5x5 roto is my cup of tea. And weekly lineups instead of daily.

Been using yahoo forever, and moved a keeper league to CBS years ago. Hate CBS, prefer Yahoo. But mostly, I just can't wait for Google to do it right. There's no reason they all suck as much as they do.

Oh yeah, MLB TV is pretty much the greatest thing ever.
