CBS Sportsline waivers...anyone else notice? (1 Viewer)

CBS suddenly unlocked Tuesday's dropped players (waivers are actually processed early Wed morning)at 1:45 AM today (thrus.), where they would usually be locked for 48 hrs. I thought I must have had it wrong, even after playing 2 of my leagues on CBS for several years, but went back in the transactions history and saw that I was correct in thinking they were always on 48 hr locks before. Verified this in both leagues.

It's just classic that CBS would make this change without posting some sort of message. Surely other people noticed this?

Yes, this also happened in our league. Every player that got dropped during Add/Drop this week instantly became a free agent, instead of going on waivers for 48 hours like they're supposed to.

Now it's fixed again.

In the meantime, I wrote Sportsline to inquire and never heard a word.

I just went through (as Commissioner) and Added then Dropped to and from my roster every guy who had been waived on Tuesday -- that put them back into the Add/Drop queue but delayed the whole waiver process by a day and was a big pain.

Good idea, I might propose that as there was a player of value that was picked up by the guy with the lowest waiver slot. Some people put their picks in early, I've always waited until Thurs. night, for the Tues night drops that is.

I believe CBS allows you to set the number of days for the Waiver Process. My league has been set at one day for the last 3 years, so I wouldn't of noticed this but maybe CBS changed everyone's process by mistake. You may want to check the setting or have the commish do it.

The funny thing is, our rules have always been set to 24hrs. Don't even know why they are locked 48, but I'm used to it at this point.

I'm in a dynasty that using MFL, and while I like it a lot, there are some things that are better (such as communications) on CBS. There just seems to be no perfect solution.

Regarding the "fixed" post, I'm still showing the players who were dropped last night as being available tonight? Are you guys saying it will be fixed with future transactions?

edit: I just saw that a player was dropped and the waiver time is correct. And CBS still no message to all leagues regarding this...lame. Between their floating ads (for paying subscribers, mind you) and ridiculous errors, they are pissing off the masses.

im in 3 cbs leagues and all add/drop players went directly to the ww for 48hrs

not sure what might be wrong with your league...talk to the commish!
