Cedric Benson - a preview of next year? (1 Viewer)

Help me (a Benson owner in Dynasty) out, how did Benson really look? Was this just garbage time work? Or will this game help convince the Bears to give him the bulk of carries next season?

My guess:

Only way Jones comes back to Chicago is if the Bears win the Super Bowl. Otherwise, I don't think anyone in the organization wants the "Jones -v- Benson" headaches for another season, and T.J. will be shipped out.

But I've been wrong before. :banned:

Benson is the best RB they have. He's much more physical, and faster then Jones if you ask me.They'll be fine with Benson/AP next year. Jones is done.

Spoken like a true outsider. They'll have both RBs next year unless somebody offers them a 2nd rounder for Benson.

Book it!

In today's NFL, you need more than one above average running back. Luckily the Bears have three. Nobody knows about Adrian Peterson though.

I think it's clear Benson is the best back on that team.

He'll win the job in the playoffs this year and will be a top 7 RB next year.

(Hopefully his best games don't come against the Pack!)

I watched bits of the game here and there while at at party and I saw Benson run a couple of times. It didin't look like was tearing it up, but he had 75+ yards at the half, so I can only assume he had a big run. TJ is their guy this year, next year all bets are off because they have so much invested in the Benson. Having said that, I think the smart money is to go after both in a dynasty because at worst you end up witha 2 headed monster in Chicago with TJ being at least a 3rd down back and if you hit the "lottery" TJ goes somewhere else and you get 2 starters out of the deal.

BTW, Benson is a head case and if you go after him in dynasty, you deserve a compesatory pick for the risk! :D

:goodposting: How, exactly, is Benson a headcase?

ETA: Keep in mind that not being the sharpest tool in the shed does not make one a headcase.

Are you on crack? Benson is much better than Jones as a runner and worth more than a second rounder.
